As a woman and as a "Clinton," can Hillary get the respect of the world?

Hillary Clinton is certainly a formidable woman, with quite a history. She stayed with Bill through his "cigar" infidelities with an intern, so perhaps this also lays a "stain" on her. What do you think?

I believe Clinton would do more good for this country and be able to accomplish more than any of her opponents. She should be admired for sticking with Bill and she must have loved him very much to do so.

Did you know she is also bff with McCain? They have joked that if they are both their parties candidates it will be a boring election because they agree on everything.

She hasn't done much while a Senator. She hasn't written any really good laws, much less had them passed. It has taken her 30+ years to get to no where on National Heath. The countries throughout this small world know that she has two sides of her mouth and she knows how to talk through both. As far as sticking by her man, it is sicking. OK, if he was guilty once, but we all know that he is addicted and the only reason she has stuck by him because of power. She would far better without him.

She already has no respect other counties and thier leaders. Wants a one world government and another communist. She reminds my of my ex-wife shrill and demanding. Demanding of not what would be good for the country but the way she thinks and wants. No advisers would be listened to. She does not understand that she would work for us but we would be working for he ideas. NOT FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY. KEY WORD IS CONTROL!!!!!!!! P.S. SHE DOES HAVE A BIG PROBLEM OF WHAT IS THE TRUTH AND A LIE!!!!!!

Yes, I think she has the respect of the rest of the world. Her husband's "extracurricular" activities don't reflect on her in the least, and I think most people understand that. Besides, I really don't see how any thinking person could hold staying in a marriage against someone. It's her marriage and her choice.

Not because she is a woman, though! I would have checked "neither of the above!" It is coming to light that Hillary has an "AlGore-like" problem with self agrandizement and the truth! While Al Gore invented the internet, HIllary invented a "combat moment" when she landed in Bosnia under sniper fire and had to run, head down, to a waiting vehicle. I "mis-spoke" hardly explains how she could have a different recollection about an event that the video clips show to have been a welcoming ceremony involving an eight-year old Bosnia girl. As the military commentators have stated, all hell would have broken loose if the USAF had landed the First Lady in a combat zone. Hillary has had other Gore-like moments, such as her claim she was deeply involved in developing SChip childrens' health care! I think that these moments will remain an embarrassment to Hillary for some time to come!

I agree, without the "AlGore" hatin'.. With reservations, I still think she'd be better than McCain, who has his own credibility issues in regard to lobbyists, the Keating Five episode and his extramarital dalliances, to say nothing of the questions in play concerning his obstruction of the 1991 POW-MIA inquiries, or his support for 100 years in Iraq while not really knowing who the players are, or even the fact that he said he "needs to be educated" on the American economy...

Not the smartest move; she should stand on her own not-inconsiderable qualifications without embellishment.

It's not as if the bar is set so high given this nation's "leadership" the last seven years.

Make that the last fifteen years and you've got an agreement! I heard the other day, from one of the investigators, that the only reason McCains name was thrown in to make it the Keating Five was to get the report out of committee - they wanted a Republican in on it, too. Remember, this happened in the 80's, when we had a Democrat controlled congress. As I understand it, his extra-marital dalliances are not only ancient history, they do not come close to the number that Slick Willy had. I just heard him give a terrific speech on the economy, by the way. However, none of the candidates on either side, and no Democrats or Republicans in the senate or congress are addressing what we really need - a viable energy policy to stop the enormous growth of the balance of trade deficit. That is where this nation's true economic problems lie - we cannot continue to be a debtor nation, and no one is even talking about it! "AlGore hatin'" ??? C'mon - where is your sense of humor?

I agree, without the "AlGore" hatin'. Still not convinced that she's worse than McCain, who has his own issues concerning his obstruction of the 1991 POW-MIA investigations, the S&L bailouts, lobbyists, certain private relationship matters with which the Clintons are intimately familiar, confusion over al Qaeda, a wish to be in Iraq for another century, bombing Iran and his confession of "needing to be educated" on the economy. The economy he gave a speech on.

Clinton has her own not-inconsiderable qualifications upon which to stand. She should do so without embellishment... or disparagement.

But: Our enemies know how to deal with a white male politician in the Oval Office. Time to throw 'em the change-up.

I think her pain probably endears her to some people. I can see a certain strenght and level of commitment from some of her past actions. In my eyes one person couldn't stain another anyway. Now, some of her own actions have been somewhat questionable, but that has nothing to do with her gender.

Hillary should be elected President. Obama is a racist, who speaks well and John Mc Cain want s to stay in Iraq for 100 years, and will probably star a war with Iran. The media has been unfair to Hillary Clinton always attaching her and given the racist Obama a pass. Obama gives speeches he is all talk with 20 years in attendance with Rev. Wright. Hillary will get results and demand the best for the United States.

Important difference: Obama's lies put people's lives in danger.

Case in point: Senator Obama claimed to have passed legislation mandating disclosure for leaks at nuclear power plants. However, after watering down the legislation to appease one of his largest campaign contributors, Exelon Corp., said legislation was never passed, leaving the people of Illinois unprotected. A leak at a nuclear power plant causes all sorts of atrocities, mutated cancers, babies born with gross mutations, etc. Millions of lives were left at stake because Obama felt it more important to pander to a special interest group than to protect the lives of his own constituents.

I ask you, how many people's lives have been put at risk due to Senator Clinton's misstatement concerning Bosnia?

People need to get over her being a Woman. It has almost become "chic" to call her a liar, and people don't even know why they think she is a liar. If they can site some real or imagined lie it has never been proven. It is merley an urban myth passed down to become "gospel". Alot of people hate her because she didn't further humiliate her husband by leaving him while he was still in office. Then they hoped she would after he left the office. Secondly, I doubt very seriosly that Senator Clinton was asked in front of these soldiers and she said "NO, ONLY IF THEY ARE FROM N.Y.!!! PUHLEASE. She has done sssooo much for the military. If she was that stupid she would have never been a Senator, and well respected by her peers, that actually know her. If you want to stay in a war for 100 years vote Mcsame. If you want an anti-American who can't stand up to his Pator, vote Obama. If you want 35 years of proven positive change and REAL solutions to TODAYS problems, vote SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON. I know I am with out ANY reservations. Grow up America!!!

no proven lies?? really? how about her saying that she was under heavy sniper fire, and had to run for cover in Bosnia? Theres a video, and testimonials from Sinbad that prove COMPLETELY otherwise.

There was also a recent fund raising fraud in which she claimed to have no knowledge of the fund raising event... recent video, however, Hillary Clinton is shown talking about the event in question (link: http://www.usjf.net/modules.p... So yeah, if you still support Hillary that's obviously your choice... but you can't possibly deny that she has blatantly lied about a couple things in the past months.

Ah, the difference is that those 55% of American men wasn't the President of the United States and wasn't on TV speaking to the millions of Americans. They also didn't lie to the Congress. I don't know but I think there is a difference. Don't you think?

Hello wedw3, you said, "Ah, the difference is that those 55% of American men wasn't the President of the United States and wasn't on TV speaking to the millions of Americans. They also didn't lie to the Congress." So, in your view it is a norm that the private life of the President is not private. It is quite typical. It shows how distorted the mentality of Americans is. They do not realize that the entire World was laughing while watching this idiotic show - the President of the USA speaking on TV about his sexual activities, and the Congress asking him if he had sex with Monica. This is absolutely disgusting!!! All these people - the members of the Congress, the media, and all others who participated in this extremely distasteful farce do not realize how obscene their behavior is. And, of course, it didn't occur to them that absurdity like this damages respect for this country (if any respect is still left) in the World. Ridiculous shows of this kind never occur in France, or Germany, or Netherlands, or any other civilized nation, except the USA and England. These two are the only countries where there is such a thing as "sex scandal". This mentality is a grim legasy of the Dark Ages in which this country still lives. It needs probably another 200 years to mature. So sad...

ill answer yes, because hillary defentaly is a wonderful person ( i dont know about president, but person yes)

my issue with her lies with my husband,

When he was still in the service and over in Iraq, she came to iraq for a plublicity stunt,
when lunch time came around, she kicked all the soliders out of the chow hall, and took her sweet time eating making the soliders of our country wait for more then 3 hrs to eat, they could not go inside and get food and leave she wanted to be completely alone,

now mind you I WASNT there but MY HUSBAND WAS and he still gets pissy so do his friends from their battalion, when hillarys name is mentioned,
