As a woman and as a "Clinton," can Hillary get the respect of the world?

Hillary Clinton is certainly a formidable woman, with quite a history. She stayed with Bill through his "cigar" infidelities with an intern, so perhaps this also lays a "stain" on her. What do you think?

I believe Clinton would do more good for this country and be able to accomplish more than any of her opponents. She should be admired for sticking with Bill and she must have loved him very much to do so.

Doesn't matter that she's a woman, what matters is that she's a liar and a power monger who simply wants to continue what the left wing libs are trying to accomplish - which is keeping people under the thumb of big, ever-intrusive government ... to perpetuate the ever-increasing sense of "entitlement" so many whiners have developed. To take PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY out of the lexicon of attributes any reasonable human being should have. BOTH of the CLINTONS should have been put in JAIL for their criminal activities a long time ago.

Being a woman has nothing to do with it. Being Hillary Clinton and the wife of Bill Clinton does. They are too low down and dirty for anyone's respect
    in my opinion.

It's not because she's a woman, it's because she's a Clinton. The Mrs. Clinton the most publicly played around on woman in the world. How could anyone ever really respect that?

She can be and is respected by many around the World. No person is without mistakes, and being in the public eye only intensifies it. I think the relationship she has with Bill is a private matter. The general public only knows what we are told, and any personal discussions and decisions they have made are their business. None of us know exactly what we would do in that situation, regardless of a multitude of negative comments about the subject. While many don't care for her, I do feel she is a strong, intelligent woman that can be an asset to us all. JMO

Hmmm... thats two different questions... As a Woman, certainly, the world is so much farther ahead of the U.S. when it comes to women in high powered positions. As a Clinton... yes. The Clintons are a very intelligent couple and I would welcome them to our White House again. They know how to fix America where all classes and races benefit.

She's a pathological liar. What's respectable about that? She's in it to win it FOR HERSELF, not for the American people or the world. As a woman I'm actually bummed that she's the one running and that she's running such a nasty, shoddy campaign. She's an embarrassment. I'm waiting for a brilliant woman with morals and INTEGRITY to make a run at it and to become the leader of the world, but that's just me.

She has to gain the respects of Americans first. It was nothing to do with her being a woman so much as it has everything to do with her being a lying manipulative, hostile person.

Hillary is running for President for us and for herself, because she really does want to change things for the better and clean up Bush's mess so we can be a better , healthier nation. Past personal issues only make her stronger in her resolve to be there for us. She is willing to work with others to further her agenda. Mr Obama just wants to tell everyone what to do and then he lies to us about taking $ from oil companies. Shame on him, this is not an answer to helping us in the future. Hillary has the answers.

Hope you realize the Obama is a big liar - doesn't take $ from oil companies. Better check the facts on this one, he has taken $$ from every major oil company plus CEO's of these oil companies. You better soon figure out the Obama is for Obama and Hillary is for the people of this country - even you.

Why hasn't anyone asked Senator Obama if he also feels that all his adult life he has been ashamed of his country and now that a black man is running he's finally proud of America??? This certainly is what Michele eluded to. Also has anyone out there listened to the black comintators say that it means that America is responsible for everything that is wrong around the world and that whites have supressed them and still do. Who would want a 1st lady who is well educated but has been ashamed of her country but now wants to represent only black women??? Please look beyond Obama's speeches and question just what he believes. What will happen if he doesn't appoint blacks to his cabinet?? Will the black community riot like they did in Watts many years ago. I can't see where their attitude has changed over the years, but still mean they will overcome.

I suffer clinton every time I go to New York. Why would I want a world of suffering. It's not that she's a woman or a clinton that I don't respect. It's because she happens to have the power to create miserable living condition that I must abide by or pay a substantial fine. If she did that to the world it wouldn't matter if she was a clinton woman.

If i remember my history correct the stain is on Monica's dress. I have much more faith in her now that I know she took hostile fire in a war situation without having a stain in her own garments ( at least not reported). I seriously do not no if she would get the respect on world scene but it has noting to do with her being a woman. Some of the greatest world leaders in this century where woman just not in the united States. Europe is moving conservative with elections in Germany and France. We can be anti-war, pro-war, but one thing for sure our enemies are always waiting for the opportunity to strike with the maximum casualty count. Bush took the battle to their backyard but we can bring it back home fairly fast, when they do not have to be on the defensive they will be on the offensive. After the last three weeks I would rather see Hillary than Obama but I am put off by both, seems neither knows how to tell the simple truth to a question.
