When in the Senate, there were TWO bills up for a vote including Katrina aid. Obama voted for one of them, but opposed the other.

So in fact, he voted FOR aid after Katrina...

Katrina happened in 2005, the weasel was elected as a nonvoting senator in 2006 taking office in Jan. 2007.

He's just despicable. An amateur just like the book said. Unqualified, unprepared. His family has spent $ 1.4 Billion on his families expenses, an unprecedented amount. That includes $100,000 for their dog handler. Unbelievable arrogance and narcissism. Also includes the $800,000 spent and the first daughters Spring break in Mexico and the $20 million spent on Michelle Obama's vacations; and her 22 assistants. No other first lady has had more than 2. No other first family has spent anything like this on themselves.

Yes i would say so even though he did what any President should have done i remember other Disasters over the past 3.5 years like the oil spill in the gulf took a week for him to stop playing golf and if he voted against aid for Katrina doesn't that make him a Racist because during the same disaster he also said the slow response time of FEMA was because LA is primarily black and if it had been a white state it wouldn't have taken 5 days to get water to the super-dome.

Obama does not do anything without a Political goal in mind and if he can't find a political advantage he likes he just remains "Present" kind of like most his time as President when not playing golf basketball on vacation or using Air Force one to take him and the Mrs out for DATE NIGHT.

Just like when Osama Bin Laden was killed,yes he gave the order he was the only person capable of giving it but as you can see he had nothing to actually do with it and could not even as President get a seat at the Big Boys table he just sat in the corner and was "Present".

It's a bill in 2007 about a number of issues only one of which was about Hurricane Katrina since that Hurricane was in 2005.

Cannot believe that the government is creating these compound bills like this especially when the issues are so diverse. This bill included funding Iraq/Afghanistan wars, eliminating State Children's Health Insurance, and Disaster Relief for Katrina.

Unless a senator agrees with all aspects of the bill, he or she will either have to not vote at all or vote against their conscience. Wonder which one Obama voted against?

I just spent the past hour and a half on Thomas' Library of Congress site. During the two sessions of Congress between Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and Pres. Obama's inauguration in 2009, there were nearly 350 Bills introduced in Congress with "Hurricane Katrina Relief" in the title. The fact that someone could find only one of them that Senator Obama voted against, and it had appropriations in it for other totally unrelated items, sounds like desperation on their part.

Of course. He didn't stop campaigning when the embassy was attacked, he didn't stop playing golf and vacationing when the BP oil spill....now,all the sudden, he is concerned? I don't thing so.
Romney did something constructive, he brought food. What did lame stream media do? They made fun of him and laughed and claimed what they needed was money. . Guess what? When you are hungry, you want food. If there isn't anyplace to buy food, then what good is money?
