I really like the piece that was shown. Nice stuff. There's a couple of different ways you can handle this. You can go to a commercial site like Etsy which would help you to market it or it's possible that you could go to deviantart.com which is a site that allows all kinds visual artists to market their work. Many of my students sell work through that site. One former student has a Facebook where his work is shown as a work of the day type of thing. The only problem is that unless you have watermarks on your work, someone could lift it and claim it as their own which kind of defeats the idea of having artwork on a site. I would recommend deviant art as a site first because you can set the price people have to pay to download images. There are many other artsites that market for artists. Good luck. I have dragged my feet on marketing my own work so I am still in the planning stages.

Hopefully they are a lot of people who can afford to purchase veterans' artwork, thus assisting veterans with their incomes.

We have not gotten into the selling aspect. I feel funny about it. I have had several people ask to buy my artwork lately and I say no. I feel like it is the American public's.

You have a sterling attitude.

Do not undersell. I have made that mistake my entire life. Now here I am at 56 with all this artwork. Part of it is that art is very personal. You invest your emotions and opinions and they become like your children. But as my own real children have grown up and moved out, I have come to realize that you don't lose them. They succeed or fail on their own. And if their personalities are a reflection of your own, they spread your ideas. I know that there is a veteran that makes jewelry that participates in festivals around the DFW area. I've seen him at Denton Jazz and Arts Festival, Cottonwood Festival in Richardson and at an Arts and Crafts Show in Grapevine. People WANT to support you. Give them this chance.

I too am a veteran of vietnam era (Air Force), and am an illustrator / artist also. Have been for over 30 years now, surviving from my artwork but not getting rich.
