Abortion is murder, sorry to say it. The moment life blooms in that egg cell, it's alive, he might not have a brain yet, but he is ALIVE!! :/ Kill your babies if you want to. Try using some flippin' protection next time. Don't be freakin selfish. However, I don't speak for cases in which it would kill the mother, or the baby won't survive birth. Those, those... Those are hard. C section, maybe? and aren't there surgeries to take that egg and plant in another womans womb? I'm against it. A lot of little teenagers say that, "oh, you dumped me and we had sex, I'm going to go abort the baby!" I hate that, it should die.

Abortion is not murder. its not alive. its just like saying that eating an egg is just like eating a chicken. its not. the egg hasnt hatched yet. what about rape victims? you think they had a choice for protection? yes sure, teen pregnancy is stupid but we're too young anyway. life doesnt bloom until the baby takes its first breath. inside the womb its relying on the mother so it can grow. a seed can't be a tree unless it pokes its head above the ground. a baby isn't alive until it takes its first breath.

Actually the eggs we eat are unfertilized, and it is alive, it's growing is it not? It still reacts to shining a bright light in it's face as we would, by protecting it's face, rape is an area where I still believe that it's wrong to kill it, adoption, though I realize orphanages are crowded. Premature babies are alive... I realize that abortions are only legal in the first trimester, but it's still growing and holds the capacity for sentience.

Not because I'm anti-abortion, but because this is just one more thing the government shouldn't fund. Also, Planned Parenthood has a political agenda that I'm rather questionable on, totally apart from the issue of reproductive choice.

Not without exceptions for rape, incest, etc.; if other ACCESSIBLE alternatives exist for such cases, then I don't disagree -- provided that the law reflects the will of the PEOPLE of AZ and not the will of a minority group.

Imo being Pro-Choice means I have to respect the choices of others, including choosing to place the unborn ahead of "lives in being." Abortion funding is probably one of the most controversial issues we face, and people who believe they are wrong shouldn't have to pay for them against their wishes via taxes.

This will end up just like Texas. They will see that banning one provider of health services for no medical or compliance reason is discrimination and will get them cut off from federal funding for Medicaid. Then they will come crawling back and open them again.

Planned Parenthood spends the vast majority of its resources preventing unwanted pregnancies. Cutting them off, since they are the largest provider of women's reproductive health services, usually ends up resulting in more abortions, because fewer unwanted pregnancies are prevented.

Feel it should be selective as not everyone is promiscuous and need an abortion but some could be terminally ill suffering a miscarriage, rape victims etc. Its the law abiding citizens money which should be given out selectively based on case by case evaluation rather than a general rationalisation which leads to enmity with the organisation and with the government as a whole.

The majority of planned parenthood services are birth control and cancer screenings, so I hope in that state that continually votes against their own self interest the people/or legislature put some money away for unwanted children & female cancer treatment.

The right wing, realizes that voters are realizing their obstructionist money for the rich policies are failing, so they are reaching out to a small but extremely vocal minority hoping they can brainwash enough weak minds to continue to support their causes.

I will say this again: God said, "Woe unto the woman that is with child in the last days." Republicans really rather see people stay poor, suffer and die by the way-side. They said it, but they are proving it too.

Hope Brewer the Bitch realizes that her states AHCCS (corrected) program expenses will more than double and a huge business in illegal abortions will abound. It is to be noted that the wording of that bill also precludes HOSPITALS from allowing abortions regardless of patient need to be performed in their facilities or they too will lose state funding for AHCCS (corrected) patients.

Brewer has bent to the will of the special interest groups on the abortion issue at the expense of the tax payer. Further it is a direct attack on the middle class and poor in this state when it comes to health care of women when it comes to reproductive rights and control of her own body.

Here in Indiana they were trying to do that as well because they said that Planned Parenthood was "Pro Abortion" Which if you have ever actually been to a Planned Parenthood (it's where I go) Then you would know they DO NOT believe in getting abortions And they tell you right when you first go in that they are Pro Life so if you don't want a child you should possibly think about not having sex or getting on birth control

Next it will be not funding hospitals because of their particular research, not funding schools because of religious bias, not funding highway construction because it passes a bar. Should I say more.

So wrong for so many reason. Republican against women's rights again. The Republican sure don't women's vote this year and they must have their head up their A _s! Wonder why there is a WAR AGAINST WOMEN! HERE IS A PRIME EXAMPLE!

Planned Parenthood Arizona, the state's largest abortion provider, said the law means that thousands of women in the state may now go without life-saving cancer screenings, birth control and basic health care.

"By signing this measure into law I stand with the majority of Americans who oppose the use of taxpayer funds for abortion," Brewer said in a statement.
Arizona joins six other states with similar laws, officials said. But three of those states — Indiana, Kansas and North Carolina — are facing legal challenges.

I have lived both in Arizona and Texas and can honestly say that I have met good people in both states. How they will let these a$$holes into office is something I will never understand. Jan Brewer showed her compassion for humanity or lack thereof when she stopped funding for organ transplants resulting in the death of her citizens. What a heartless hag.

Brewer is such a freaking mouthbreather.

Jan Brewer said- "By signing this measure into law I stand with the majority of Americans who oppose the use of taxpayer funds for abortion,"
Real facts- Arizona does not provide tax dollars for abortion. Money from the state or feds IS NOT ALLOWED to be used for abortion.

Republican math....all the money they save by not funding Planned Parenthood will be available to go to welfare and food stamps for all the new babies.

I want Planned Parenthood to stop being so overly liberal with abortions as a method of birth control on the taxpayers dime, and have them push harder for these younger girls and young women to use time tested and cost effective methods instead of abortion. The ideal thing would be to push even harder to get the youth of America to learn to act out their sexual activities in a responsible way, but todays society has made it just too easy to fix stupidity with a surgical procedure that everybody EXCEPT the ones actually responsible have to pay for it! If it's just ignored, nothing changes, except it gets more acceptable and even more frequent!

You make a excellent point, that I agree with. But, in cutting off this help they have created a larger more expensive problem because this pregnant women will get an illegal abortion or have the kid and go on welfare and the cycle will continue to grow!

There is no easy fix to this problem, the lack of the use of birth control is very incontestable proof that, "that they do not care and have very low self esteem.
  • The Bir... BIG BAD... 2012/05/06 21:18:51

That's why cutting off funding makes sense! Then they have to THINK! "What am I going to do now? Who's going to pay for my mistakes? Should I carry around condoms? Maybe I shouldn't be so loose and wait for a guy that'll still be there when the baby is born?". It will force the issue, hopefully! But we can't just keep letting it go unchecked like it is!
