When doctors start comparing a disease to AIDS, it's time to take a closer look at what's going on. You don't want to start freaking out without reason, but you don't want to shrug it off, either. Chagas disease is a nearly incurable disease caused by a parasite called Trypanosoma cruzi, or the "kissing bug," and has affected approximately 8 million people worldwide, and 300,000 people in the U.S. But it's not a death sentence, and, incidentally, it's not spread by kissing.

According to PubMed Health, Chagas is either spread by infected kissing bugs (in areas where they're common, such as South America), or by blood transfusion in areas where they're not (such as the U.S.). It can also be passed on Symptoms include fever, constipation, abdomen pain, and loss of appetite. The real danger is in its potential to impact the heart, which could lead to death. Does it sound like something you should be afraid of?

Why.. It MUST be an ELECTION year.. We have ANOTHER population decimating PANDEMIC to worry about..

These diseases ARE worrisome as are Asteroid Collisions,, Global Heat waves,, Ice Ages,, Gamma Bursts and Supervolcanoes and because,, as we ALL know,, NONE of them are a danger until a Presidential election is looming,, I won't feel safe again until AFTER the elections in November..

WHEN is mankind gonna learn?? WHEN will we learn from the past??

Eliminate Presidential Elections and mankind will be safe once again..

    Yeah, maybe you're right.
Seems like just another thing to get us to take our eyes off the ball again.
The last time we did that we lost habeus corpus.

I sure hope come November, the general population doesn't forget that it's Congress who's at fault as much as the POTUS.

I'm no Christian, but I've been saying that very thing for years... but I wouldn't say "Conservatives." I would say Neoconservatives (Republicans) instead. It's far more accurate.

The word conservative is meaningless without further explanation. Thus, if there is no further explanation I just assume that "social conservative" is what was meant. Fiscal conservatives don't seem to exist.

Just look up the two political ideologies: Conservative & Neoconservative. They're different animals. I feel that Neoconservatives are generally less Christ-like despite all of their touting Christianity. Real Conservatives tend to be less noisy about their beliefs & aren't necessarily Christian, in my view, though they behave more like He supposedly did. Of course, it's pretty hard to find a real Conservative. Most who claim they are prove otherwise. They seem to be all too worried about what other people do or don't do & don't spend nearly enough time minding their own business.

No fiscal conservatives seen after the Obummer got the White House.
Not even among the Democrats till Jan. 2010.

He is 1.3 trillion over budget for 2012, the most ever, and still wants to blame Bush for it. No president has ever gone a trillion dollars over the fiscal yearly budget.

This is his fourth year in office and he's looking around to blame someone, and has worn out the Bush Blame Thing. Now I guess its the Republican House he will blame. He and his radical W.H. are masters at this.

Maybe the Kissing bugs will bite his ass, then Harry and also fancy Nancy paints.

The debt is mostly because of Bush's tax cuts to the rich that Obama failed to end because the Republicans held America hostage over it. Obama has barely increased spending from Bush.

Obama is not a big spender

"He, Obummer has a 1.3 trillion dollar over budget for the yearly budget for 2012. No previous president has done this. "

BECAUSE of the BUSH tax cuts for the RICH. Bush's wars and crashing the economy to. DUH!

Obama is a spineless coward for not standing up to the Republicans and cutting the rich tax cuts. I don't like Obama any more then I like Bush. Obama is just Bush 2.0.

The sub-prime housing loan debacle was a 5 to 7 trillion dollar worthless paper loan disaster after the housing market went up-side-down and affected money markets all over the world in the last quarter of 2008.

    FYI: Subprime Loans;
(people borrowing money with no real collateral or down payment and paying long term high interest rates).

This was breading for years and Congress was warned. Even the Democratic Congress (both House and Senate) were democratic during Bush’s last two years 2007 and 2008 and never did squat about this after they and the Republicans were warned time after time by many astute economist from about 2003 or 4.

You seem to know nothing about economics that has transpired over the last 10 years. My wife and I got the highest tax breaks from the Bush administration tax cut. It was $600.00 dollars apiece. There were no magic loop holes created for the rich, just liberal propaganda.

Boy, $ 600.00, I bet the rich went out and bought new yachts.

By the way, he, Obummer does not have a 1.3 trillion Budget Bust, He and Congress own this. Both sides of the isles. President does not make the budget, he only signs off on it or veto’s it.

Don't let your mouth flop open and overload your butt?

Yeah, middle class people like you and me get $600 from the tax cuts but if you make billions you save MILLIONS. It is a percentage thing. That's why it is for them, not us. The more you make, the more you save.

There was no % trust me, or look it up. $600.00 was the max. It is propaganda, I'm telling you. It was a large amount of money to give back to the American people that could have helped S.S. or our debt.

It is mostly from the change in capital gains tax. It went from 10 to 8% which is nothing for people like you and me but means a lot to someone like Romney that has $250,000,000 invested in the market.

1% of Americans hold 35% of the money. So, YES, there are enough rich people to help. But that's not my point and you are just finger pointing.

Bush should have been saving for a rainy day instead of blowing it on wars. A bubble in the housing market caused the crash. Bubbles happen in capitalism, no way around it. So you have to save for that rainy day. If Bush had saved then the bailouts wouldn't have hurt so much and we could afford the tax cuts.

Paragraph one; it’s not the rich’s problem to help you out, it’s your problem.

A God Dame whole nation of welfare thinking people we have now. Financial dooms-day rising.

    Your last paragraph is preposterous!

A far reach blaming over 50 years of GOVERNMENT OVER SPENDING on one president. Why didn't the other president save for a rainy day? Will Obama?

No insults, but you are just a hopeless Democrat (like some of my family) and will believe or blame everything on anybody except Democrats, they are historically known and notorious for TAX and SPEND since Woodrow Wilson who screwed the American people with pushing and promoting the Federal Reserve Bank until congress said OK.

Can’t remember if this S.O.B. was a Democrat or a Republican.

No use going on with this because I’ve been around Liberals and Democrats for an adult life time of over 50 years at age 67 now.

They have since the Hippy Marxist Sixties think like socialist and that someone owes them a living.

Jesus Christ, one would think that Obama would come up with something other than National Socialism that’s OLD and has progressively failed since its conception.

Clinton did save for a rainy day. If Bush had followed Clinton's program he would have erased the debt in just 2 or three years.

The welfare programs are a TINY part of our budget. And it gets us right back to what started this thread: Jesus would want us to help the poor, WAY MORE THEN WE ARE HELPING THEM NOW.
