Einstein said that when bees disappeer of the earth, humans have 4 years before complete collapsation of the economy and life itself. Bees are disappeering now, which means the end of the world would be 2012, the year the Mayans predicted.

The mayans DID NOT believe in an apocalypse, but a new age, something good. It's outrageous what people make up these days.

I have also heard predictions that a huge meteor is supposed to hit Earth in December 12, 2012. Nostradamus also predicted the end of the world around this time, as did the Mayans. Interesting...There could be a lot of truth in it... Nevertheless, there isn't anything I can do about it, so why worry.

It never ceases to amaze me how gullible people are.
The year 2000 panic; the alignment of the planets panic.
This is what happens when science standards fall.
The myans had a good callendar; yes but they didn't have the wheel or gunpowder so they disapeared pretty much as a civilization.
seems to me having a calendar predict the Spanish would have been more useful to them.
the world is not going to end and the people who believe it will be will attribute it to some celestial harmony or something

Because real life is very boring to me even when I'm suppose to be excited, and the only way I can entertain myself is in my fantasy life so when Jesus comes back he will put an end to all that.

You know that only one species of bee is dissapperaing right? There are over 20,000 species of bees and the the European honeybee is the only one that's dissappearing. And they don't even exist in the wild, at least not in America. So it's not really as serious as it sounds.

Einstein was a great guy, but I don't think the disappearance of bee's can foretell a catastrophic ending to the world.

There isn't a way to artificially polinate plants, so without bees, plants coud die, and without plants there wouldn't be oxygen or food for some animals and blah blah.

Think of the vegetarians! :P

Well what I'm saying is the world's civilizations and governments don't hinge on their BEEing bees around to pollinate plants. There's other methods plants can reproduce and spread their seed.

im never against saying that it COULDNT happen, it is possible, but if it does, i dont think its because of some prophecy that the Mayans came up with.

but i also dont think that the world is going to end anytime soon

The world will go on long after humanity has ceased to be. I expect to be here in 2013 and expect humanity to last several thousand more years at least. I do not however have any idea as to what conditions the future humans may be living under.
