UN Ambassador Susan Rice has withdrawn her name from consideration for Secretary of State, saying the criticism surrounding her comments on Benghazi had become an “irresponsible distraction.”

“I am fully confident that I could serve our country ably and effectively in that role,” Rice wrote in a letter to President Obama today. “However, if nominated, I am now convinced that the confirmation process would be lengthy, disruptive and costly – to you and to our most pressing national and international priorities.”

Rice has been criticized by Republicans for her response to questions on the Sunday talk shows shortly after the terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi killed four Americans.

Because the Obama asked her to, he knew that if he pushed it hearing would expose the trutyh of his incompetance and lies. So he had her fall on her sword after lieing to save his re election

I really am, due to Obama's insistance that detractors should 'deal with him' over their objections to her 5-Sunday-show-lies. Yeah, I thought she'd be dodging and weaving those political questions with the security of Daddy Barack to have her back.

She never did impress me in any way. Not that she had to impress ME, but she should as an an American diplomat, impress our international neighbors and allies. She has the body language of a masculine woman, to me. Maybe a member of the alternate lifestyle.

Obama seems to prefer LBGT personnel, if given the choice. There seems to be a commonality that bonds them all together. Like sticking together will show those evil homophobes a thing or two.

Like Islam, Obama is a supporter of the LBGT agenda as well.

The Republicans especially John McCain and Lindsey Graham had it out against her for political reasons. They would rather have John Kerry as SOS instead of in the Senate so that Scott Brown can run and try to get back into the Senate after being beaten by Elizabeth Warren. It is just about power and politics with the Republicans and this is a sad for America. At least she showed America that there are still people out there that put country first before politics.
