UN Ambassador Susan Rice has withdrawn her name from consideration for Secretary of State, saying the criticism surrounding her comments on Benghazi had become an “irresponsible distraction.”
“I am fully confident that I could serve our country ably and effectively in that role,” Rice wrote in a letter to President Obama today. “However, if nominated, I am now convinced that the confirmation process would be lengthy, disruptive and costly – to you and to our most pressing national and international priorities.”
Rice has been criticized by Republicans for her response to questions on the Sunday talk shows shortly after the terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi killed four Americans.

Sorry folks..... anyone with an IQ north of 5 knew she was lying in real time, and the facts that have come out since then have confirmed this...... If you want to be mad at someone, make it Obama.......
Today is all about politics, and screw the well being of Americans and what's good for the country. Nearly every decision is based on what's best for politics. People are sick of the constant game playing to win advantage.
Obviously the president whoever it is sets policy after consulting with his advisors and staff. You can't have a bunch of underlings running around each spouting off their own views or getting too far off prepared remarks, that would send mixed signals.
Susan Rice did what she was TOLD to do. Just like every other Secretary of State before her did. To blame her for administraton policy is childish, stupid, but oh so typical of the hot head right wing crowd out for another obvious witch hunt.
Yeah right when on the morning of 9/11/01 that idiot, then National Security Director phoned George Bush down in FL and their conversation went something like this:
Hello Georgie, this is missy Rice, now you listen up good you hear... there are reports some fool little private plane flew into the WTC by accident and does mean some people might of got them fool selves hurt. You not worry, Miissy Rice got things under control. She with the big dog Cheney and we's going to fix things.
So go talk to those little kids like you planned, nothing to worry about you hear, just do your thing and remember to hold up those children books upright, not upside down... missy Rice will keep your secret you don't read too good Mr. President, you just be you and everything will be fine.

A. She was incompetent in her pro-longed remarks regarding the wrong reasoning (a video) for the attack and murder of 4 Americans...... America does not need to know all the details at once...due to security and safety of getting the facts.....but not led down purposefully down the wrong road for weeks....
Apparently the intimate details within 48 hours of the Bin Laden raid...what went down..and how the W.H. was monitoring it...even photo ops showing us such was known in that time frame...and the video was clearly a red herring.

B. She was told what to say..and for how long to say the talking points..and is incapable of being an effective diplomat if she only has to read a script. One can be intelligent...even a scholar...but if one does not have the integrity to comment without a script....or even comment in a way that the Pres. will not want to hear. ...because we are so politically stained and interested in political expediency for a campaign...that one will do ANYTHING for their boss, nay even lie for them....the American people are not served. She does not have the nads to represent us.

It remains remarkable that she did not have the foresight to simply comment in an intelligent way...based on the job post of security.....based on what was known...that info was being gathered...that the video does not seem to be the indicator now....as that quickly change in 48 hours.....that there were requests for help.....that the parties involved were thought to be whom...and how it broke down ...and what decisions were made during the 7 hours that those brave Americans were fighting for their lives...why or why not decisions were made. 2 weeks of drivel about a stupid video made her look foolish and clearly not made of the muster that someone should have to represent us to the world.
She gave up the opportunity for a potentially remarkable opportunity. Intelligence is nothing ...if you do not have integrity.
