    Well said Miss Satrz. People seem to have lost the ability to disagree and still be respectful. Even those times I have disagreed with something you wrote you're opinions were never derogatory or mean spirited. Many people could take a lesson. :-)

    .............I'm always ready to debate the issues, with thought provoking messages and postings, but I do not want to argue, if someone is just being a complete malcontent, by using vulgarities, or posting graphic garbage, within a whole page of thoughtful questions and answers........that I find annoying, and if it continues, I eventually will block that person or persons, in life, my ears are not garbage cans........for vulgarity or trashy graphic filth.........none of my Select Soda Head Friends engage in that, and neither do I.........

    Yes...very sick and tired. It has gotten to the point there seems to be very little else posted. Even the post's not intended to be political get more than their fair share of politics thrown in. There is no point to it. NONE!

    Exactly. No one wants to debate anymore, if you don't agree, the attack begins. More like kids than adults.

    I gave an opinion on a religious post, evidently the moderator didn't like my reply, told me not to reply to anymore of his questions. Wow. Can't even give an opinion anymore.

    This is an opinion site but somehow some people only want to hear what they believe to be right. Perhaps the fear that they could be wrong just doesn't set well with them. Aggravating, disgusting, and down right dumb, but you just have to let it roll off.
    Any post's that are slanted, I bypass because there is no way you will ever be heard.

    Exactly. I gave an opinion on a question yesterday, it was a true or false question, I answered with the word false and I was blocked. Blocked after two people were able to come back at me. This is not an opinion site anymore it's a hate site. But I guess people are pretty frustrated because their candidate seems to be losing (Romney).

    You are so right on about this becoming a hate sight. It has become very difficult to find a decent post, one that you can actually say how you feel without being slammed. I suspect your right. For the most part they have to be against Obama because they have no candidate that they can point to and say now this is the way a President should be. Must be lonely out there on that limb. Romney is scary. He did a foreign policy tour and offended three countries. Now that takes work.

    Well, he might, but I suspect he will be working very hard to point at anything that will take the press off him. I have always felt that the President of the United States should feel free to speak his mind and not play politics but he has proved that is not always a good idea.

    Cons and Pros-isn't that interesting-conservatives and progressives! Just saw that. Anyway, cons and pros have a POV to express. Individuals on both sides hold intense passions about their stances on profound and divisive issues. Some get carried away in their pronouncement of these passions. People become defensive to maintain a rightness about their opinions because giving way is a challenge to long held beliefs.

    Look, I used to believe in God and I no longer do. I also know of atheists who are now devout in their religious convictions. People can change. I just would appreciate opinions on both sides better if there was less anger and defensiveness. I am, however, guilty of this myself.

    I see where you coming from Ira, and understand how you feel, however. Opinions are one thing, debating is as well.. but bulling and just out right name calling and arguing is a totally differnt thing. I think that is what my friend Starz ment. There are some SH's who are well versed in debating and that is wonderful. And then there are those who just show thier bums and act like fools and spread and speak nothing but hate. Enjoy your day :)

    People don't want to hear a differing opinion and then the fight begins. I know I get smacked around quite often. lol But the hate has really gotten out of hand lately.

    I don't even bother to read most of the hate posts, I just scroll right past them.

    It's astounding how awful people are when they can say anything they want and not be held accountable for it.

    What we see here is humanity at its worst, but it's a very small percentage of the American people and not representative of America as a whole.
