Yes, I am proud. I don't think I stuttered when I wrote that. People have been murdered for many different ideals over the years. To single out Christianity is idiotic.

Don't get me wrong, it's amazing that we are better off than a lot of other places in the world.
I love that I live in a country where a black man can be president, and where a person of any nationality/religion/gender is(generally)treated equal in the eyes of the government.

But I hate the fact that there is still hate everywhere among citizens. I hate that 9 young men were bullied so much for being gay, that they took their own lives. I hate that a Muslim boy and his father were shot, only a few weeks ago.
I hate being compared to the kinds of people that caused those things just because of the country I was born in.
