A majority of American voters would have voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress for refusing to turn over documents about the Fast and Furious debacle.

The U.S. House of Representatives held Attorney General Holder in contempt on June 28 by a vote of 258-95.

A Fox News poll released Thursday shows 61 percent of voters nationally would have done the same thing if they were in Congress. That includes most Republicans (82 percent) and nearly half of independents (49 percent) and Democrats (48 percent).

I'm sure that dead guy and his family don't think it's a molehill. I'm sure the other ICE guy just shot doesn't think so either.

How can you justify that comment?

You can't hold the government responsible for every killing that takes place. There that justifies my comment.

Can they still do this after Obama and his cronies are out of office? The reason I'm asking is, even after obama's term is over, they can still discredit them for all time. (If that makes sense to you.)

They can ask the next President to release the paperwork. Congress can not do much to them at that point I do not think, but others can. The DOJ can as well.

In holding Eric Holder in consent the House has done all it can. Believe it or not, it is up to the Justice Department to prosecute those held in contempt of congress -- so Eric Holder, lacking the integrity and honesty to appoint an independent prosecutor, has decided not to prosecute himself! Big Surprise!!!

The Justice department has already said no. They could still impeach him but they would never be able to get anything done in the Senate. A bold move is they do have the authority to take him into custody, but I do not see how that would help as they would never send their guy's to seize his records using the courts. They have enough on Obama to impeach him as well, but will never do it and he has done more than Clinton ever did. Obama wrote and EO that removed their authority in a state of emergency along with the Courts. Congress did this to the courts by passing NDAA. Now the Courts have ruled that NDAA is unconstitutional. Obama ignored them and wrothe the EO. I can not say what I think should happen to him.

Before you decide to take such a drastic step, you have to decide what it would do to the nation. As evenly split as the nation is, any further action by congress at this time would be very, very divisive.

In the 1960 election Kennedy defeated Nixon by the slimmest of margins. 49.72% to 49.55% of the popular vote.

There was ample evidence that there had been extensive voter fraud in both Texas (VP Lyndon Johnson's home state) and Illinois (controlled by the Democratic party machine/thugs). Many Republicans urged Nixon to challenge the results, but whatever else you think about Nixon, he had more class than Al Gore and refused to subject the nation to the trauma of a challenge.

Nixon was a great President. His only mistake was covering up for others. He was to loyal to them. If they had been as loyal as he was they would have stepped forward and took responsibility for their action..

Here is the issue. Congress has not taken measures to present it case against The President. They have already made their case against Holder and with the help of the Presidents. When he took took executive privilege ever one knows that there is a rat in the woodwork and Obama is protecting someone, perhaps even himself for have knowledge about what was going on before the public got wind of it.

As for the President they can explain in simple terms how the President has broken his oath of office. Then they can site his EO's and the problem with ea. How he has given over powers to the UN that are only for Congress and the President. Just for giving them authority over our police and and armed forces here on American soil. In the 1800 they would have taken him out of office tried him for treason and shot him.

Again, with the nation almost evenly split and "independents" set to decide the election, it would be a dangerous thing to attempt to impeach Obama, especially with Democrats in control of the Senate where the trial would take place. Republicans controlled both houses of congress when Clinton was impeached, and they had him dead to rights for perjury and obstructing justice, but the impeachment trial in the senate still failed - and it hurt Republicans more than Clinton with the voters.

Yes I know and I think that is knowing what is in the Senate is what is keeping them form impeaching him. My real thoughts are that most of Congress does not have the peoples best interest in mind. If we do not get things straighten out this election it is time for the people to step up and throw them all out. If the people do this they need to act on the UN immediately as they will try to assume control. We would then have to ask who ever is in charge of our armed forces to take control until we can have new election. Any other process will be to slow and never work.
