I have always been concerned about my childs safety in school. It's past time for more protection in schools. Armed guards and/or Teachers. These idiots that do these acts of Terrorism only go where there is no armed resistance.

I'm not concerend after his latest event, I used to be bothered but now these things happen all too frequently, if idiots that buy guns and homeschool their children think they are "safer" I know of a person that had his throat slashed while waiting in line at the post oiffce. Moral of the story? People who want to kill people will do it.

Why don't you interview more people from the Columbine shootings? Survivors, and family members about their reactions and how they have handeled life over the last 12 years.

I understand that Darrell Scott, father of victim Rachel Scott, has been advocating for more school safety and giving his opinion as to the contributing factors of school violence. That is something I would like to hear about. Thank you. Heidi Philley

Just in this morning's ABC News reporting an increase in gun sales, the kind that was used in the murder of 20 children. Bottom line: It is all about PROFIT!!! The more you are made to think you are unsafe the more you will go out and buy guns. This is just plain insanity. For once stop and question why the right is telling you to be afraid. Who is funding these groups, gun manufacturers.

After 12 years on no action I hardly think this is a knee jerk reaction.

There is nothing in the Constitution that says you have a right to semiautomatic and automatic guns. Nor does it say you are entitled to high capacity guns that can shoot 10, 20, 30 or more rounds. Conservative Judge Anthony Scalia recently said the same thing.

It doesn't need to. The right to own what I want is inherent. It's also called being free from tyranny as well as basic freedom 101. But unless you know the history of the Constitution and what our founding fathers knew that right to be and why it was needed and why they included it, you can't understand it.

I'm past the age of having to worry about my own safety at school, I don't have any kids yet, and if I do have kids, they'll be homeschooled (no compromise whatsoever on that one).

However, I do worry about the safety and continued mental and physical health of other young people who do have to endure those places, and I wish them the endurance to bear it and the good luck to get out of the system unscathed.
