    The term "political correctness" began being used as a pejorative term in the 90's by conservatives because liberals are pointing out their ignorance and how bigoted they really are. It's not political correctness when one points out the well-documented hateful comments from the right-wingers, that "birthers" are racists who can't stand that a black man has the White House, that gays and lesbians have the right to be in legally recognized relationships, including marriage—regardless of religious objections—or debunking hard-right conspiracy theories the likes of you are too stupid to see through.

    Being politically correct really just means applying correct terminology. There's nothing wrong with it and it's actually more respectful to different cultures. Personally, I believe that being respectful is vital to the promotion of peace. However, I do understand that some people take being politically correct to an unnecessary extreme.
