An illegal alien killed 4 people in my home town. He had almost killed a man with a knife served a few months in prison and was released. Then he comes to my state.
No, but it is especially heinous to know that an American citizen is dead/harmed/raped by an ILLEGAL ALIEN who should not have been in our country at all.
Someone who came into our country ILLEGALLY to steal money earned by Americans, harm children, DUI deaths etc because no one is adequately monitoring our borders.
IF that ILLEGAL had not been in our country, that is one less crime that would have been committed. Surely you get that....... or you would if you were the victim or the victim's family. We had two dead nuns recently, killed by an ILLEGAL as well! We should not be importing criminal ILLEGAL ALIENS...we have enough crime without them adding to it!
Illegal is illegal. While we would never treat someone inhumanely, we have gone way past what the Constitution would require for someone that doesn't belong here. Once again, we have progressives and activist judges to thank for trashing our Constitution.
This administration is beyond bizarre, it's like a never ending episode of the Twilight Zone.
I can't wait until November!
"We the People of the United States" means the people of the United States, not foreign dignitaries, not citizens of Poland, Korea, Yemen, or Mexico.
Hit the road illegal aliens, we are done footing your bill.
The Constitution does not breathe, that annoys me. I recommend every American refresh their memory and read it, the words were chosen precisely and concisely for perfect understanding by Americans who were by majority not well educated..
Say what you mean! You want to bend, even break the law.
Illegals deserve no amnesty or path to citizenship. Time to get serious from top to bottom on illegals. They are a FOREIGN INVASION FORCE.
1. Finish the fence complete with Razor Wire on top.
2. Claymores & Landmines first 100 meters our side of the fence. We already can't go into areas of our own country
3. Militarize the border with Combat Troops, M1A1 tanks, Bradleys, Drones, Apache Attack Helicopters and issue "S. O. S " orders.
4 Repeal the Anchor Rat Law.
5. Start a Bounty Hunter Program and issue a bounty on All Illegals.
6. Severe Fines for any and all buisnesses hiring illegals.
7. Fines for anyone renting to or harboring illegals.
8. Cities/States providing sanctuary will lose Federal Dollars in addition to fines.
9. Deport within 10 days and if they want a lawyer they must pay for them. Remember They are required to carry a Green Card.
10. No Gov. Benefits or services (i.e. school etc) for illegals. Continue to purge/deport them as we find them.
11. Any illegal serving time in an American jail/prison will serve it at hard labor on a Chain-Gang.
12. English only for all Government documents, tests etc.
As for those protesting if they're citizens throw them across the border for treason and advocating the overthrow of America.
This is the USA not Mexico and it's time they learned that
You're absolutely correct. I am so tired Liberals trying to say the United States should have OPEN BORDERS! There is absolutely no place in the Constitution where it states that OUR BORDERS should NOT be SECURE!
Even WIKI ANSWERS knows more about this than LIBS do!
No, they're not kidding. The Right Wing racist campaign to rid the country of Hispanics is not a joke at all. I see now they're even using the forest service to further their attempted purge. Not all that unexpected, given their history of unconstitutional infringement of rights in Arizona, Florida, Alabama and coming soon to a state near you.
Who freed the slaves? Who didn't want slavery abolished? Who to this day still keeps the ethnic minorities in the ghettos? Proud Regressive needs a history lesson
No, people who actually do commit crimes are arrested for committing crimes. But coming up with a totally ludicrous reason to detain someone in the first place just because they are Hispanic and then interrogating them as to their status is not what we in this country consider "constitutional." [If you're unfamiliar with that word, look it up.]
Who said there was a ludicrous reason to detain her? She was stopped because she was suspected of harvesting crops off of federal land. Do you know what crop that was? You seemed to be racially biased by assuming she was detained because she was Hispanic and the officer couldn't speak Spanish to understand her.
But maybe this provides a reason for English to be the official language. So that there isn't a breakdown between Americans and those who are illegally trespassing into the United States.
I would very much support making English the official language of the United States. We would save a fortune just in not having to print everything six different times in six different languages.
Doing my best. The duck gets on my nerves on occasion. I know that different people are going to have different interpretations of the same situation, but when they deny basic reality, backed up by citations to the Supreme Court, and then throw unsourced blogs at me that they tell me are more reliable than the United States Supreme Court, it gets a little frustrating. You and I argue a lot, but you've never that I recall tried to argue that the sky is purple or the earth is flat or that the average human being has three arms.
Do you remember me asking you about the National Defense Authorization Act? My concern was for the rights of people not to be detained for the reasons you are now defending as Constitutional rights.
Here, an except from wikipedia:
The most controversial provisions to receive wide attention are contained in Title X, Subtitle D, entitled "Counter-Terrorism." In particular, sub-sections 1021 and 1022, which deal with detention of persons the government suspects of involvement in terrorism, have generated controversy as to their legal meaning and their potential implications for abuse of Presidential authority.
And by the way, I agree with you on Constitutional rights afforded even to illegal immigrants.
I gave you citations to several Supreme Court decisions that specifically discuss the issue. How can you call that "unsourced"? If you like I'll try to find links to the text of the full cases, but I can't think of anything more relevant to Constitutional interpretation than Supreme Court decisions.
As for your links, which I did look at, I'm wondering why you're defending them. The one from "usacarry" for instance, consists entirely of this statement:
"I just heard of a news story about an issue where US Representative Kevin Brady (R-Texas) commented that 6th Ammendment right should not be extended to ILLEGAL immigrants.I am sorry, but I don't have a link to th e story and I don't remember where I heard it.He stated something to the effect of the 6th Ammendment to the U.S. Constitution applies only to U.S citizens, not those who enter the U.S. illegally. What do you guys think. (I would have made it a poll but I couldn't figure out how.) Those who know me know how I feel.I plan to envite Rep. Brady to my next barbeque."
Surely you would agree that this is not a documented source.
You're free to block anyone you choose to block, though I personally don't think it's a very mature way to deal with people with whom you disagree. I honestly am willing to look at relevant cita...

I honestly am willing to look at relevant citations of fact, but I simply don't consider an anonymous blog about someone hearing something on the radio to be an expert legal opinion. And I know you won't believe me, but I honestly have studied the Constitution extensively over the last 40 years or so, and this is a contentious issue that has been addressed by the Court numerous times. They do not extend ALL of the protections of the Constitution to illegals, but basic rights like due process of law have always applied to everyone, legal or not. Consider this - suppose you were accused of being an illegal alien and for whatever reason (a fire, a burglary, a tornado) you no longer have your documentary proof. Don't you think that in that situation you would at the very least be entitled to hire a lawyer to fight deportation? I realize that most people picked up for being illegals are illegals, but I don't think that means that they have absolutely no rights. At the very least, they are entitled to insist that we follow our own laws.
What constitutional right do they have being here illegally? wow your ignorance never ceases to amaze me! If you don't like the laws of our land than don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.
Every person in this country, illegal or legal, has the right to be protected from unreasonable searches and seizures.
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated."
Notice that it doesn't say "the right of Citizens to be secure......"
Someone who came into our country ILLEGALLY to steal money earned by Americans, harm children, DUI deaths etc because no one is adequately monitoring our borders.

5. where do i apply?
The student visa program is one of the MOST abused system.
I think I am dizzy from that spin cycle ..

Hope you are having a better day than what's indicated from the replies you're giving here.
My heart warms at your civil replies.
It gives me reasons for hope for this much beloved country.

Sorry, duck, but if you think I'm not going to acknowledge decisions of the Supreme Court, think again.
If you would have allowed me to continue, I would have supported your argument in another manner.
Your loss.
