Yep, that's right: another tablet joins the ranks. But this one's from Google. So, it's got to be cool, right? Designed by Google, the seven-inch Google Nexus 7 tablet is $199 and available in the Google Play market. It will begin shipping in mid-July. Does it sound interesting to you?

What's the point of this device? Just from reading the website Google set up for the tablet, it sounds like the tablet simply connects to the internet and lets users access Google services, and nothing more. Most smartphones do that and much more for the same price, and they're much more portable than the Nexus 7 would be.

Interested in a very workable .. economical tablet .. YEP ..

But can I afford even one at this price ..
SIGH .. I can NOT afford it at all ..

(which is a shame .. since A Android Tablet .. with the apps that I use for the blind .. would be a great thing to have to help me be even more INDEPENDENT in daily life)

I was thinking about a Samsung tablet 7 incher for about $250.

A real tablet for $199 does sound interesting.
I not going to be doing my taxes on it. Just reading, maybe some email and games.
I assume it uses wifi. I don't even have wifi set up in my home right now.
I don't even know it has one or two cameras, USB ports or what.

I'm going to wait awhile to see what real people using it say.

I'm definitely not buying those Google Glasses things. They don't look all that functional or practical and they will start at $1500.

Let me think...
Being able to do what i want with my product.
Getting quick updates to improve the operating system.
Awesome specs to make sure it'll stay competitive at least for a six month period, given the rapid pace of tech growth.
Oh and inexpensive too.
Hell yeah I'm interested.
The cool points are that this is a Nexus product, which means that you don't have to wait for carrier BS, it comes straight from Google, and the other plus will be the developer community which is often forgotten. They do some awesome things and with an open and unlock platform, they'll make this thing sing!
