Are You Interested in the iPad Mini?

A more convenient iPad that would logically be cheaper........HECK YEAAAA

There all too big. What I want is a wrist watch with the power of a laptop and a wireless monocular head-mounted display with 1080p resolution that I can clip to my sun glasses.

Then strap the damn iPad mini to ur wrist and invent your own sunglasses

Not at all. I like the products because they're easy to use and rarely glitchy. I'm typically the last person to have the latest thing. My car is sixteen years old and many of my clothes are used. The stereotypes about apple fans aren't always true. Also, I use non-apple computers and mp3 players regularly.

Do not hate a product at all that would be a sign of a very to be polite insane person it is an object and does not have a life and therefore does not warrant any human emotion. Don't myself listen to mp3 find compressed music painful to my ears.
Play all my music on the best equipment I can afford without getting into debt.
Use valve amplifiers and find vinyl still gives the best insight into the soul of music.
I am just so fed up with the worship that people have towards things in general and the way we are all being manipulated by manufactures to buy the latest and greatest stuff when often the old things last and give better results.
My car is 25 years old and I have no desire to get rid of it.
I can service and repair it myself it is dog reliable and goes well.
Pop the hood on a new car and scratch your head cant fix the beast without substituting all sorts of sensors and such which cost the earth.
All this new stuff goes out of date so quick has no value once superseded and lands up on the junk heap.
I prefer to buy things that last money is hard to come by hell my vacuum cleaner is 31 years old and my cell is 10 still works, phone and message does the job and I can see the screen in the sunlight.
This is just an attempt to voice an opinion on the state of the world which is driven by wants and desires not needs.

That size is no more convenient to a standard pocket or pack than the original and it's a helluva' lot harder to read.

Nah, I have an iPad cos I WANTED one and i am a kid and i payed for it, and if i wanted an iPhone i wouldve gotten one. If you want to get one, get an iPad, perfect for home, or an iPhone, perfect for carrying around everywhere, dont get an ipad mini cos its too big to fit in a pocket and u cant carry it around everywhere, and dont get an iPad mini when u can get a bigger ipad with a more ideal size, thats what i think, big or small (ipad or iphone) is perfect, inbetween (ipad mini) doesnt have any advantages

Of course you can carry an iPad mini anywhere, just as you do with an iPad

That would be cool, actually. I've always thought that the iPad was much too large and the iPod touch/iPhone too small. But, what's the point, really, in coming out with this when it's pretty much the same thing in different size? I think they're just hard-pressed for product ideas...

I have an iPod and a laptop. No need for an iPad.

The iPad is basically just a bigger version of the iPhone (but without the phone capabilities), and I don't find that my iPhone is too small. It's just the right size. Several people in my family and several of my friends have iPads, but I've really never had any interest in buying one myself. The iPhone 4GS suits my needs and preferences perfectly.

I wish I had Siri!! LOL I have the 4, and think it is just the right size as well.

Yeah, Siri is pretty cool, but it's still sort of a Beta feature. It will get better with the release of the next iPhone I'm sure. What's really cool about Siri is the fact that she seems to have a sense of humor. If you ask her off the wall questions, she'll give you off the wall answers. For example, I've asked "What is the meaning of life?" Sometimes Siri tries to give a dictionary definition, other times she'll respond "42" -- which is, of course, a humorous reference to "Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy."

Not that or any other "planned advance " something they bring out just to make money. Next month, next week, next year there will be a new "toy" everyone just "has to have". it is a joke on the public, but only Appel is laughing/..

And why is it a "joke on the public" to offer products that people want to buy? Nobody's forcing anybody to buy them. I'm a big fan of Apple products and have been for years, but I've never bought an iPad and probably never will because it doesn't interest me. See, that's just consumer choice, not a "joke on the public."

Look around you! How many of those devices do you think were a good investment, when they were new? Right!!! More production, more consumption, keeps the wheels of commerce turning. I too choose to buy what I need, not what I "want" from all the hype .
My phone is a phone, three years old, my computer is a computer, four years old and my car is a car, nine years old. I too am a consumer, just not at the accelerated rate demanded by the consumer society. That's what his consumer unit does.

I buy what I need but also what I want, and I don't begrudge the companies who are constantly seeking to innovate and invest in research and development to stay competitive, offering us better products all the time.

I really don't understand this whole anti-consumerism mindset. When did it become an insult to call someone a consumer? Every living creature on this planet is a consumer of resources.

Agreed, and no one has to buy it. My car is even older than 9 years and I have apple products because they work. No one forces anyone to go out and buy new apple products when they're released.

Exactly. Nobody is forcing you to buy anything. Yet. Except for Obamacare.

Actually it isn't being a consumer that is the problem but being expected to be an "uber consumer" to keep the economy running. For the most part the first few "innovations" already exist when a product is "introduced". There is a rush to buy, market gets saturated, out comes inovation number on, market gets saturated again, out comes inovation number two and on it goes until the NEXT big product comes out to the same song and dance. I just decided to do my dance on the sidelines and stay out of the big dance.

I think i'll just stick to my iPhone instead...
