Unfortunately politics is a required interest for all Americans if our Democratic Republic is to survive. All voters must be well informed(very difficult today) so as to be able to vote for the best candidate for our country!

For months we will here how corrupt government is and how the other is a part of it.
things like "mitt has dog on roof" then "Barack eats dog" :o)
or "Mitt rides around in his cadiillac," then "Obama rides around in our cadillac" :o)
Then information leaks out. GSA parties in Vegas, SS refuses to pay prostitute, Maybe he didn't know he could expense account it. I am thinking government is a bit out of control and the Captain? Well, he is doing what he does best campaigning, Oh, and playing golf.

Corruption is a result of people not caring.

Been interested since Kennedy became president. Politics is actually entertaining and like a perpetual reality show. A "survivor" show filmed in Washington, D.C. I was living in D.C. going to Grad School during the Nixon Watergate years, and I shopped at the A&P; at Watergate then where I ran into Martha Mitchell half in the bag drunk in her fur coat a couple times....lol. My friends used to come up to do all the tourist things with me or go to the Washington Senators baseball games.

I wasn't always ( interested ) until Jimmy Carter got elected and America Went To Hell ! Those were the WORST of times as the say . Until that point , I was never " really worried " about America ( even during the Kennedy & Johnson years when we had school drills and hid under our desks ) . But Carter was running us off a cliff , Double Digit Inflation , Home Mortgages were 12% and NOBODY ( almost nobody ) was working , Gas Prices were through the roof , ETC. .............. sound like anybody else ? The interest rate is ARTIFICIALLY LOW right now but it is being charged in other ways .
REAGAN " SAVED AMERICA " from the Carter Curse ! Even my Liberal Friends were amazed at what happened . They may not have liked him , but had to thank God that he saved their ass . They forgot all that later and cursed his name , but for a short time ..... EVERYONE sang his praises ! I don't even think I knew what I was back then . I " thought " I might be something like a democrat -AND- a republican ? Then I found my way and discovered that I was a LIBERTARIAN , Conservative . ( go figure )

Not in my youth, but in the last 10 years I've gotten more and more involved, especially when I started having kids. As free citizens, we can't turn a blind eye to what goes on in either local or national politics. It's our duty to hold the politicians accountable. "The price of liberty is eternal vigilance."

I think more people are paying attention to politics than in quite a while. Unfortunately, we let the government repeal the Bill Of Rights while we were asleep.

You're Right . The Bill Of Rights is being whittled down with each passing day . The " First Two " Amendments are the main 2 to watch . We know that the 2nd. was in danger but the 1st. is being attacked DAILY by the left . They just can't understand the Basic Human Rights thing . Sleep with one eye open , Friend .

Congress just recently passed very quietly, and the President just as quietly signed a bill that establishes "no free speech" zones around anyone the secret service protects.

In other words, we no longer have the right of free speech around any major government official.

This is looking more like the Third Reich every day.

And yet........the people still sleep.

This is really even more evil than it sounds on the surface. The President/wanna be King, can assign secret service protection to anyone he chooses, they don't even have to be an elected official. The penalty for violation is a FELONY. I just can't understand for the life of me how anyone could be so stupid as to vote for this traitor, but since over 50% of the population is on the Government dole, I guess it's actually obvious. The people of this Country are willing to be turned into slaves as long as they believe that the Gov is going to carry them from cradle to grave.

Always been interested in political affairs of this country. It is after all, the life blood that runs the country.
....Or at least it used to be.
But that said, being of the new 'revelations' I have discovered recently. ....It seems to me, my opinion or anyone's opinion doesn't seem to matter any more. The voting system is as dishonest as the politicians we "vote" for. The CFR...(Counsel of Foreign Affairs) evidently dictates and manipulates all world affairs, including the 'puppets' we "elect" to represent us. They are 'in bed' with the United Nations that wants to control all the worlds lands for " sustainable development", via 'Agenda 21'... cloaked plans to impose the tenets of Social Justice/Socialism on the world. Without the need for any review or discussion by Congress or the American people.
So the real question is ~ WHAT THE HELL IS THE POINT of having any "say" in the political machine? When they have it already planned out for us!!
Conservative, Liberal? ...It just doesn't friggin matter anymore!!

We have slept while our government has essentially repealed the Bill Of Rights in the name of "National Security".

Obama was hand selected to be the last President of the U.S. by the rulers of the NWO. The only question left is whether we will have enough courage to fight when the international storm troopers show up at our doors? Frankly, I doubt it. The American people have traded their soul and their descendent's souls for food stamps and welfare. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

I hear ya brother! I took an oath nearly 40 years ago to defend the Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. I took that oath very seriously then. I still do!

I am not interested in politics or politicians. I am looking for people who will serve us and our country with dignity and honor. I am sorely disappointed.
