I need to go to work but I'm sick to my stomach...

Since when is inauguration day a holiday, is this a different country I'm living in. Usually inauguration day means nothing, did I just step in the twilight zone or something, christ am trying to get some work done, this guys bigger than rock & Roll and that ain't cool.

Anyone who skips work today should have went to work yesterday to cover his or her time.

Are you jealous? I work my ass off for the pay I get. Um, I also served HONORABLY in the United States Army and got shot at by many terrorist. Why don't you pick up your weapon and follow me my friend. I continue to work and support our Government so that folks like yourself can go to shopping malls, places to dine, and relax and not worry about getting blown up! I've earned my stripes my friend. Maybe some lazy jerk you know is milking the Government, but I can tell you many lazy #$#@ Americans that don't deserve their pay. Try asking those in the Unions that worked in the Auto industry... or how about those bastards that worked in the banking industry. Tell me, where are all those greedy folks that worked in the housing industry that sold all those loans to folks that couldn't afford their loans. So, don't tell me about my day off which I and many other folks deserve.

My apologies. I thought you were one of the multitude of federal employees who provide neither products nor useful services. Those in the armed forces, such as yourself, are some of the few employeed by the government who deserve our respect and who provide a constitutionally sanctioned service to the american people.

It is just a working day. I will watch several of the newscast coverage, and probably some on the internet from other countries to get a more rounded view of what folks think about it all. It isn't important in the sense of government policy setting...but it is interesting and begins a new administration that has a large "bag" handed to it from the Bush administration upon the completed transition of president to president that contains war and strife, an 11trilllion dollar debt, and a sinking economy. That's a nice hefty bag for Obama to take on, let us see what America is capable of as we all pull together to help our newly elected president begin the process of emptying that Bush bag and filling it with a brighter future.

What better way to takle that large bag o' bad old Bushie debt than with a $170 million party!
