Facebook does what it does. It's particularly good at introducing people who have common friends. I've had no problems with that. I'm certainly not bored with it.
Plus, I haven't encountered any Obama haters or birther idiots on Facebook, while they are a major distraction on other social media.

There may be more to Facebook's diminishing share prices than questionable growth opportunities. According to a Reuters survey of more than 1,000 people, about a third of active users say they're spending less time on Facebook, most of them stating that the social network is "boring" or irrelevant. Others complained about privacy concerns.
The Reuters survey also found that users generally don't purchase products or services because of Facebook ads or even friends' comments -- a major chink in Facebook's armor if they want to develop into an investor-friendly company. However, Facebook spokespeople claim the network has many clients, such as Nutella and Applebees, who have witnessed major profit boosts on Facebook advertising, suggesting it's at least possible to turn Facebook into a massive money-maker.
