The UN's Law of the Sea Treaty which the 0bama administration wants to have ratified along with other unconstitutional treaties like the UN Small Arms Treaty, which is clearly un-American.

I think they should be kicked out of the USA and the USA should drop out of that organization. The UN does us no good and I'm not sure they do any other country any good either. They are continually overstepping their bounds.

When they were originally formed, it was to ensure peaceful relations and a means of arbitration between nations. Doesn't that sound like a beauty pageant contestant? And they're about as effective. If you are a third world country, they're great, they bring in food and supplies, etc. But they have no business trying to create law in individual countries.

You know aside from providing a foundation for global human rights, maintaining international peace, providing international laws, and promoting social and economic progress. Other than that the UN is completely worthless.

What social and economic progress has the UN accomplished? If they have, it's been well hidden! As far as providing international peace, their so-called peace keepers go in and rape women and children... some foundation for human rights.... no thank you!

First off, the UN creates a neutral place for countries to discuss their problems. This greatly limits the out break of war. Thus creating economic progress by nations not sacrificing money in fighting senseless wars and because we aren't at war we can also trade with these countries which provides economic growth on both ends. The social aspect leads back to the global human rights I mentioned earlier.

The raping of women and children is not my idea, that was reported on the news, guess you didn't see it or chose not to. Secondly, the US taxpayers pay for the majority to keep that organization running. They do nothing for us but try to impose their opinions and ideas on us. Thirdly, it would be wonderful if everyone got along and the world would be peaceful, unfortunately, that is not the world we live in and peace is not always the best answer. The UN produces nothing, they are responsible to no one, they give themselves outrageous salaries and they sit on high and act like they know best for the entire world. They are nothing more than a bunch of pompous asses trying to impose their will on sovereign countries, which is completely contrary to their original charter.

Careful now, you're talking about your own country. The United States is one of the 26 nations that formed the UN and is one of the 5 permanent members of the UN council.

In other words, the odds of United States ever leaving the UN are slim to none. I suppose the UN headquarters could move to one of the other 4 permanent member's countries but as the headquarters being located here does wonders for our tourism and thus economy, I don't see that happening any time soon either.

What you described is partially accurate, leaders and members of the UN have outrageous salaries, but that is because they are the leaders of nations. Have you ever seen a poor president? No.

I realize that, but just because the US is a permanent member and helped organize it, does not make it a good idea. It may have been a good idea at the time it was originally formed and their intentions good, but in the years since, they have grown out of control and seek more power than they should have in an attempt to form a one world government.

And no, I haven't seen a poor president, but they are not presidents, they are members of the an organization. As for our economy, where have you been? It's in the tank!
