Iran may like to flap its gums and flaunt restrictions and embargoes, but even they know that messing with the US military is suicide.

No, I'm more concern about our warmongering President, and us going to war with Iran. It has nothing whatsoever to do with nuclear weapons, threats to Israel or Strait of Hormuz issues. It's the SAME reason we attacked Iraq and Lybia. In 2008, Iran quit trading its oil for U.S. dollars and instead began using the Euro and the Iranian Oil "Bourse". I suspect the U.S. central bank must profit when other countries have to trade their commodities in U.S dollars (as dictated by the Bretton Woods agreements in the late 1940's). While the war rhetoric is drumming up hatred for Iranians, they'll never tell us the REAL reason they want to attack Iran. It's just another bankers'-instituted attempt to (use the U.S. military) to impose their will on Iran which has every right to sell (trade) its products (oil or anything else) for anything they choose.

We are the bad guys in Iran historically. While I dont agree with them now, they are not a threat.

all nations that have a standing military/defense force carry out war games as a way of training and then plenty of nations test long range missiles too

I'm actually more concerned with direct national defense of our own nation before any other nations military

I'm more concerned about securing our borders and doing something about the illegals already in the country. We need to account for everyone here and document those who don't have criminal records and have worked and not been a burden to the safety net. Criminals and freeloaders need to be deported and then we need a national ID card which is as tamper proof as possible so that we don't have people in the country who want to harm us. This is where we will be hit, from within and not from the flimsy little missiles that Iran can procure.

I am not concerend. All nations have war games. They have every right to do so. As far as being a threat to the US, not a chance. The US military would smash them.

    Outta' Here.
Imagine a battlefield. One side has massive armies and weaponry.
The other side has one guy with a .22 and a scope.
The lone guy can put a bullet through the eye of the massive armies leader.
Sure, he'll get killed; but the damage HE did is already done and not something that can be repaired.

The Iranian leadership is evil, but they are not stupid. They want to avoid war with NATO. I understand where you are coming from but in my opinion, with the current situation, unless Isreal does something stupid I am not concerned about war with Iran. Nor am I concerned about them aquiring WMDs. MAD will work just as well in the middle east as it did during the cold war.

No, they aren't stupid; they're religious fanatics who believe dying is a GOOD thing.

Luckily, our conversation on the topic is now over.

Not unduly. ALL nations hold war games in the interest of national security, including us. I we feel threatened by their ensuring their security - what does that say about us?

Iran is trying to puff up its image to appear as strong. In reality, it's looking for trouble for itself, and it will get it.

Why should we be? Every other nation in the world does the same thing, and yet we don't lose our minds about it.

I'm concerned about the lies our government keeps telling about Iran and the bought and paid for media. Iran does not want war and never have. But the Federeal reserve wants to get in there and that is why they lie, just as they did for Iraq and Libya! When the government gets taken down, the lying media will be going with them.

They're trying to seem tough to try and scare the UN out of putting an embargo on them. It's not working in their favor.

I am not frightened; I am concerned (see question) and I am paying attention - they are a threat and have declared themselves a threat - hardly matters what you "believe" - your beliefs and their words are unrelated

I didnt say you weren't paying attention and I am not insulting you because you have a different opinion. My belief is my opinion, and this is an opinion based site. Based on what I have seen I don't think Iran will try to directly attack the US or any NATO countries.
