No I am not. 4 years ago I owned a business and I worked 70 to 80 hours a week. I was busy but made some money about 150k. Today I no longer have the business. I work part time on the internet for minimum wage. Last year I made 6k. I went from middle class to poor in those 4 years. I am lucky though I do not owe anything, But I still do not have anything either.

Much worse off. When fuel prices spiked in 08, then dropped back off just after the election of B.O., other consumer goods didn't have the chance to catch up with the rising cost of fuel. Since B.O. took office, prices of fuel have risen, though somewhat slowly, to just short of the 08 prices and have stayed there. Naturally, the prices of goods this time have risen Accordingly.

More money coming into our house.
I don't worry so much that some idiot will start another war based on lies.
Obama seems to be head and shoulders above Bush in complex logic and outcomes.

I see us on a better trajectory now than we were under Bush.

I agree. Obama while being a bit conservative is heads and shoulders above any republican. I can't believe that today's republicans have rejected most of their past leaders in favor of socialism for the rich.

You have to consider that many of these "oh it's so much better" folks are subsidized by government support programs. It's easy to say things are better when somebody else is paying.

lol, yet it is the red states that generally receive more in government support.

Can you cite a source for that? Because California is a pretty big state and so is New York and both of them are blue in more ways than one.

Although I am doing better than many, I still have friends and family members who have been out of work for awhile. They are among the ones that are no longer counted when the skewed job numbers come out. Also, lost money on a condo I sold due to the still stagnant real estate market. Personally, I dont see where things are any better. More on food stamps, disability applications up and just a general discontent with our status quo.
