No, you are not. That report says that by participating in groups dedicated to those things that you bear watching since SOME of those people choose to act as terrorists.

They do not claim you ARE a terrorist.

They do not claim that everyone who thinks like you do IS a terrorist.

They are saying that SOME people take those ideas and use them as a springboard into terrorism. Nothing more or less. And it's demonstrably true.

Come on. You're not dense. You know that isn't what I said.

What I said is that there is a subset of people who use the beliefs you mentioned to justify acts of terror. That is demonstrably true. So the government keeps an eye on people who make a show of professing beliefs like that.

Are you saying they shouldn't? They do the same thing to far-left extremist groups/individuals as well.

I can agree with that for individual surveillance. I'm not a fan of the Patriot Act.

But if they have/get the right to keep an eye on a subset of the American populace that has proven to spawn the occasional terrorist, I think it is irresponsible of them to NOT keep an eye on them. That goes for both sides of the political divide, if I haven't already made that clear.

Then they should be 'keeping an eye on' and have every person of the Muslim religion under surveillance since that is a subset of the American populace who have killed more people and brought more destruction to American than any other group ever has on American soil....that is if you believe the Government's version of things.

I seriously believe we are in the majority, and that is what scares the fascists in Washington. I have come to despise the word fundamental over the last decade or so. Fundamentalist tend to be fundamentally wrong. Fundamental transformation starts of on the wrong foot by being fundamental.
