I read this article this morning and I wonder if the rest of you see through this charade as I do! I believe this President is performing this act simply to take advantage of the mindless rabble that watches the late night TV shows. Pop culture is part of the problem in my mind. How about you?!

Cool is letting people live their own lives and respecting their self-ownership, which does not describe either Mittens or Obie in the tiniest little bit.

Let us hope then that you never need anything from the government, but do tell your GOP reps to keep their paws off my body.

Real "help" doesn't need the implied or actual violence of government. I wouldn't elect to "help" someone in that manner, and I certainly don't want anyone "helping" me by force. Absolutely, I would make that deal with you, except they're not "my" GOP reps as I am not a member. :)

To bad his educators knew nothing but how to twist the great American Constitution. We're looking for someone who can govern effectively, not someone who can shred the Constitution!

I'm sure as a Constitutional scholar the president has a much better grasp of it's many complexities than any self righteous teabagger carrying around a pocket sized one like Larry the Cable guy....

The constitution is only "complex" in the minds of those who seek to undermine it--that's by design because it's supposed to be difficult to undermine. Obama is a corrupt, authoritarian scumbag, not a constitutional scholar.

People whose rights are being disrespected have every reason to be self-righteous. Ignorant parasites like you, however, do not.

He was well aware of what he was doing making sure that he had the legal precedent to do it. I keep hearing you idiots constantly saying how he is "shredding" or "trampling" the Constitution yet never providing specific examples out side the Affordable Health Care Act which does have a legal precedent under the Commerce clause because of its impact on our economy.

  • Q Andrew 2012/04/30 21:27:20

Well he did graduate magna cum laude (Top 10% of his clas.) from Harvard Law school where he was president of the Harvard Law Review, he also taught Constitutional law at the University of Chicago where they considered him a professor.

I would say that makes him eminently more qualified to be called a Constitutional scholar, especially compared to some yahoo who considers himself to be an authority on the Constitution based on his limited research on the internet.
  • Andrew Q 2012/05/01 07:40:35
    Andrew
It is no wonder the country is so screwed up! HE taught Constitutional LAW!!! There's been a heap of twisting of the Constitution since the Foundeers penned it! Especially in the last 70 years. Most of it is coming out of IVY league schools. I am proud I was not indoctinated into this modern method of tearing it apart! You see, the Founders penned a document that average Americans could understand. It takes a crook to twist as academia has done it over the last 70 years. Most Americans are aware of the perversion! Obama is one of those Constitutional Perverts!

A "quiz" from NPR? No agenda there, nope. Now, if you'd referenced the 10th Amendment Center, that would be different. Different better. Different accurate.

What is wrong with a cool leader. I think PRESIDENT Obama is doing an excellent job. He has reduced unemployment, our GNP is up, General Motors is alive and well, the economy is growing, and he can be cool at the same time.
  • Andrew wildcat 2012/04/30 07:36:46 (edited)
    Andrew
Unemployment was 7.8% when he took over. Last time I checked 8.3% in higher than 7.8%. Oh, you mean down from his peak of 10.3%!!! Yeah, GNP up to about 2% now. That's a success story, now isn't it? How about gasoline prices, they are up 100%! Another success! Even the divide of the races is greater, thanks to him! Ain't that "cool"?!

Food stamp allocation is up as well!!! Yippee!!!!
  • luvguins Andrew 2012/04/30 12:31:20

Yeah, and all 3 million of Bush's jobs creation was gone when he took the oath of office in January, 2009. Gas has dropped 11 cents a gallon of the last 2 weeks as refineries get back on line. Racial divide is not up because of him either, but because of George Zimmerman.
  • Andrew luvguins 2012/04/30 21:07:44
    Andrew
LOL!!! Gasoline has dropped 11 cents after he DOUBLED the price! That's Progress?!! Maybe for a Socialist, but not for the free market!!!
  • luvguins Andrew 2012/04/30 21:25:12

Speak to OPEC, speculators, and China and India willing to pay more. That's your free market.
  • Andrew luvguins 2012/05/01 07:43:48
    Andrew
And all we have to do is flood the market with oil and the price will come down. That's why Obama won't do it just yet. But, I'll bet you a box of donuts that just before elections in November, that suddenly OPEC floods the market and prices come down. And your "savior" will get the credit!

We are already exporting oil ourselves. It will depend on how much turmoil continues with Iran and others globally.
  • Andrew luvguins 2012/05/01 21:14:05
    Andrew
Of course we export oil! Like everyone else, American oil interests sell to the highest bider. But if the supply is high, prices will plunge!
  • luvguins Andrew 2012/05/02 03:11:31
    luvguins
Exporting more oil than under Bush, and using 10% less. Refineries are getting back on line from cleaning and retooling which they do yearly in the Spring. That will help the price some.
  • Andrew luvguins 2012/05/03 01:09:40

Nothing like adding to the supply! But, don't worry! The Saudis will open the floodgates in time for the November elections!

Obama hasn't acted like this in 31/2 yrs, why now? Because he's losing a lot of the teenie bopper vote and he has to show them that he's cool and wants to be their celebrity president. He can't run on his record, so he's playin' the Fonzie routine. Well, Fonzie he ain't, the Fonz was genuine cool! About all he's done the last 3 weeks is campaign at Universities around the country on our dime. What a transparent moron.
