We never actually got out of the last one. The government only reports stuff that makes BO look better, (like they can). Here is the way BO spends YOUR money:

    1. Greece will leave Eurozone, then Spain. if Europe disbands it will have an enormous effect on us.
    2. China has suffered 7 consecutive months of slowing in its economy which means they will import less oil and other stuff from around the world.

I really do not know . . . but that catagory was not offered. I DO know something is up and bad because each and every year my take home pay is less due to the high cost of health insurance and the cost of living. It is harder to maintain a middle class level and all sliding down-hill.

Don't omit Obama and the Fed monetizing the debt. Devaluing the dollar will ruin us.

I do not get into Political debates at all. I have nothing against Obama at all. He walked into an awful mess left from one of our worse Presidents ever . . . But that said; I feel NOW is the worse I have seen with the economy. It is bad. I don't begin to know how to make it right so I do not go there. I voted last election but do not even know if I will bother in the future. Beginning to think it is all a sham and bull where only the rich rule and see benefit of any of it.

Because we have failed to rain in the over spending! Pure and simple. We have failed to invest in those things that will bring about prosperity!

I believe it's going to be a full collapse of the dollar and a global economic collapse and pure chaos. Riots and war in our streets, people starving, no police or military, doctors. Every man for himself. Choose your friends carefully.

Not sure really, but there is a good chance. Our economy is really sluggish and the events in Europe might just push us into a second recession. At the moment interest rates are so low already that the Fed has no power to stimulate. It is what it is and there's nothing we can do about.

Looking forward to new policy from a new president who understands economics.

Possibly. A recession is defined as two straight quarters of negative economic growth. The last two quarters have seen growth, but tepid. . The GDP has seen paltry growth. If the GDP were a pulse rate, the patient would be on life support.

Consumers, unsure about their job security and their ability to get a new job, had been putting off spending but little by little they are making purchases. Cruise lines even have more takers. Republicans are hell bent on drastic spending cuts even though economists warn that cutting spending too much could actually make a recession more likely.

When the electorate sees JP Morgan Chase back up to its same old gambling tricks, it does nothing to instill confidence in our lawmakers. The one group that has exited the hangover phase is corporations. Companies have continued to rack up big profits. Unfortunately, the money that companies have earned during the recovery has mostly stayed within corporate America and has not trickled down into higher wages or robust job creation. Yet the Republicans insist Trickle Down is working.

I read an article titled: ' $5 Trillion Lie' and it explains why we are not in a depression right now. Basically, our economy is being injected with dollars from the government by stealing the dollars from our future generations.

The author may not be well known but I've seen this premise mentioned in other articles:
