President Barack Obama is trying hard to win veterans, but it looks like they’d prefer a new commander in chief. The Obama campaign had been hoping that veterans and their families — especially among the post-Sept. 11 generation that served in Iraq and Afghanistan — would be part of their path to victory: They’re a high turn-out demographic and concentrated in battleground states, with nearly 1 million each in North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia, and 1.6 million in Florida.

How can any veteran be supportive of a President who tramples on a constitution they have fought for. Obama favors other countries and gives billions of our tax dollars to our enemies. Our soldiers, veterans and their families should be our first priorities. It is sad that we have charities stepping up to help our wounded warriors. Those billions of wasted dollars should be distributed amongst the people who have sacrificed for us, to keep our freedoms! Absolutely no one else is more worthier.

And why shouldn't they? Barack Obama has destroyed military esprit-de-corps. Veterans know this. Those among them who never had esprit-de-corps, will never understand how important that is. But they are not repeat *not* a majority of veterans.

Our Veterans are under attack by this administration Healthcare, 1st Ammendment Rights, FREEDOM of speach, 2nd Ammendment rights Gun rights! These fine Americans have laid their life on the line for this country and their families serve as well.

Well I am a veteran. I work for veterans. I know of the assistance he has offered for retraining, healthcare, family assistance, transitional assistance. and Job placement, I know of his efforts in ending the Iraq war and winding down the war in Afghanistan. I know about the increase in funding to military personal... Hell man can you give the man credit where he deserves it. Why is it that people like you and those who hate this man include the military? HE HAS BEEN GREAT FOR THE MILITARY.. He did not start this mess but he is doing a good job cleaning it up.

By quitting, that means troops gave their lives for nothing. I would like to thank you for your service, but remember 911 made is mess. I feel that if our government put our troops in harms way we are obligated to take care of them and their family.

The only thing he did regarding Iraq was follow through with the plan the Bush administration had put in place with the exception of the SOFA agreement that Bush tried to get and now Iraq has issues. He has cut the defense budget drastically. He has not done the military any favors.

Please just take a moment and Google defense budget by years and you will find out that he has increased the defense budget every year he has been in office... I disagree with some of his increases, because it goes to war profiteers, but he has made a concerted effort to assist veterans and their families. Just take a minute to look at scholarly sights. Again thanks for serving I am retired now but I work with Veterans and their families on a daily basis.
