  Only a brain-dead liberal would call these thugs "disenfranchised youth" and "victims of greedy rich people denying them opportunities" Perhaps their closed eyes would be opened if a few these "disenfranchised youths" destroyed their property and torched their houses and burned their cars.....would serve them right

  All socialist countries including the US have massive debt and high unemployment. The governments are forced to cut welfare programs because they are the cause of massive deficits.
  
  On the other hand, Canada's Conservative government has a 7.2 percent unemployment rate even though they are shedding big government jobs and steadily creating private market jobs, thereby, reducing government spending.

  Definition of "disaffected" is:
  'Resentful and rebellious, especially against authority.'
  I think people use it wrongly, thinking it means they have been "forgotten" or left out of the process.
  These people have "taken themselves out" of the law abiding community, and unless they are shown a strong authority and consequences to their behavior, (like we teach out children) they are on their way to being hardened criminals, not just "juvenile delinquents" as we used to say. This goes way beyond.

  Let's cut through the chase of this process stuff that doesn't make sense - particularly the progressive narrative.
  
  The flaw within, is fact that UK PM has begun carrying out these initiatives months ago. There were no uprisings then.
  
  
  These rioters are lawbreaking scum that are criminal in their behaviour. Probably about 80-90 % of them are on some pensioner programme. The woman photographed above is probably within the minority 10 % of the crowd who happen to think destruction of personal property is fashion chic.

  I would say that it is some of both , I would not necessiarly call them poor , I would say that some of them are folks that are just plain disgusted with the System in England , I would say that some of them are Conservatives that have just had enough , like the guy in the States said several years ago " I am mad , I am mad as hell , and I am not going to take it amymore." So this was just an open door to vent from a lot of folks in England about many issues , the actions were criminal and the majority was just criminals enjoying looting and mayhem , but I also would have no problem believing that some of it was Political motivations.

  here in the States CNN and the major networks are just showing this an entirely a criminal punk act , and that is mostly true , but CNN and the majors are not showing the Political statement that many of the rioters are representing , those that are out in the street because they want real change in Great Britian . I do hope someone gets that word out .

  When you try to explain to a group of good for nothing, gold bricking, lazy socialists who are so used to getting just about everything they want through the government (at the expense of the taxpayers) for free, that in order to save the economy they must give up a small percentage of those free benefits, they turn into a bunch of raving lunatics, use vile and hateful language and destroy public and private property without any regard for whose property it is, or what that property means....

  marching and protesting is what people do when they have been screwed over, which means somebody at the top is probably breaking laws too (criminal). Either way, those at the top, bottom, and middle in the UK are going to see some changes, and I wonder who will benefit the most from these changes. I'll tell you this: It's not going to be the poor.

  First, I don't excuse /anyone/ for criminal behavior. One who does criminal things against innocent people forfeits all consideration.
  
  Second, those who did these deeds had no moral compass. They weren't even defensive about what they did. A guy who says, "I guess I was at the end of my rope" is one thing. These people were saying that they had every /right/ to do what they did.

  some rioters perform criminal acts. Not all just like everything else. It isn't black and white (no pun intended). The rioters that do commit crimes should be arrested and tried. Issues in this life are rarely cut and dried.

  Yes, but you are forgetting one important thing. We are in the UK here, not the USA. In the UK its a public order offense.
  And please tell me where you got the idea that looting, arson, assault and murder equals a public demonstration? Or are you still thinking these crimes occured in the US?
