Are the progressives dividing our nation by picking and choosing news reports?

As most of you know by now the tragic incident involving a 17 year old black youth being gunned down by an over zealous wanna be cop in Florida and all the hoopla that it has caused by the media and so called activist over this poor young mans death.
In our streets everyday there are murders caused by brown on brown, black on black killings that leave families broken, yet you don't see the progressives and idiots like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton protesting these death.
I know that a lot of progressives and communist others come out on the MSMs to protest the death or killings by the hands of so called whites.
In my opinion as a black man I find that their actions are nothing but devisive and hypocritical, they take advantage of a sad tragic moment to further the division of our nation. I for one don't believe that we have a real racist problem in America, what we have is a group of scum suckers paid by the America haters to inflame what is not there. Yes we have racist in our nation of all colors but we also have a nation of kind hearted hard working citizens who in there minds color means nothing, only the charactor of the person counts.
I am of the opinion that the radicals pick and choose the stories that will enhance their sick ideology of what America really is.
No President in history has ever made comments of this magnitude to enhance what does not exist in America as this President has about local incidents. Obama has made comments that incite racism not calm it.

+3I think you are right on all counts! As a woman, who happens by chance of birth to be white, I despise the term of RACE. We are All of One race! I don't see any sub humans roaming around! All functions of this society were city level and sought to expand oversight and decision-making power of local governing bodies, such as neighborhood boards and associations, over issues that pertain to their jurisdiction. And everyone had their own individual vote on issues where they actually lived. Remember the old City Hall, who made all the decisions with the input of local citizens?

I never stated America was a fantasy, what I did state was that king George said it was a fantasy for people to think of starting a new nation without a King.

An unarmed young man is killed by a wanna be cop who has the law on his side. Now that is a story. The only witness who knew what actually went down is dead. Yet the parents and their many supporters want questions answered. Of course they do. One of those questions is should this Florida law to Stand Your Ground be abolished or amended. If I look at someone wrongly at an intersection, does that give someone else the right to gun me down because, to them, I looked menacingly? Since 2005, a similar situation has occurred in Florida 57 times, and there was no investigation. Now that should be another story. Not this Us versus the Radicals crap.
I disagree. I believe we have a definite racist problem in America. By law, it is no longer overt, but the problem is there and deeply rooted.
