If by redistribution of wealth you mean rolling back the tax rates to the Clinton era, then I'm a progressive.
I don't know many progressives who are anti-war no matter the situation. We just don't like the illegal, pointless wars.
We're not against all religions, just religious people who try to subvert the constitution and mix government and religion.
The border issue is a tough one. While I feel for those who cross our borders to find a better life, I understand that secure borders are necessary for the safety of our Country. I agree changes need to be made, but what those changes are, I honestly don't know. I admit I'm on the fence when it comes to the border issue. Not all Progressive Liberals are for open borders...that's a broad sweeping statement to make. In fact, all your statements paint progressives with a broad stroke of the brush.
I don't get the SMEAR SMEAR and DESTROY part
We don't try to destroy those that oppose our viewpoints.
We just offer a counterpoint. If in the process your argument is destroyed, well, that's what debating the issues is all about.
As to what is destroying this Country, it's divisiveness .

Sadly, it is to be expected when one throws themselves into the lime lite of the national and world stage.
This should not be the case, people should be able to speak their mind, and we the people should be able to have reasonable cause to believe them.
It takes a joint effort to destroy a country as great as America, that effort has been made by bipartisan, and by greed, and has been enjoying a very long lifespan.
If it comes to a war between ourselves again, I wonder how many progressives will refuse to fight for their freedom? A whole lot I am hoping. . .

And I refer back to the smear campaign against Gov Palin.
Do you not remember when Obama during the campaign came out to reporters and very pointedly said- family was off limits. Yet on the other side of the ticket they were all over Palin and family. WRONG- totally uncalled for and WRONG.
