Are the negative pictures of Obama looking "thugged/ pimped out" Racist?

I believe the message these pictures are sending have a racist over tone.

Without a doubt. It's a sneaky way to get away with racism. Comparing Obama or his wife to monkeys or using black stereotypes and caricatures is definitely racist.

Historically, racist whites have compared blacks to chimps and monkeys. It would not be racist to compare Obama to a walrus. Comparing George W to a monkey would not have the same history behind it.

Many of the questions here have been divisive about race and mostly about Black Americans. It's as if no one can think on an individual basis anymore and rather spread propaganda. It only gets ugly when people can't be honest. Obama policies are horrid, but why do so many have to bring his race into everything?

A small fraction did; not the majority and I know from personal experience, when people were talking about his policies. Many thought he was something different and would dig us out of the mess the past administration got us into. Sadly they were fooled; though it didn't make a difference at the end of the day, McCain has agreed with 93% of this current administration actions.
