Republicans have nothing to run on and lets face it they are anti minority and anti gay. So expect to see more of this with the republicans trying to make the case that it is actually the democrats who hate minorities and gays besides being anti female.
Aren't they always, it's called Slight of Hand, a Red Herring, etc. etc. etc. They aren't starting a culture war, they've never stopped waging it since the Civil Rights era flipped the Democratic Brand to the Left and The Republican Brand over the edge of Sanity.
They are continuing in haste a bolder and less cautious dog whistle riddled version of a culture war because they don't want America to be America, they want it to be the South circa pre-civil war era. Period.
nice way to spin this class war and culture war that the left is engaged in....by the way, just so you know....the liberals have had control of the economy for several years now....just sayin.....
Just like the Obama adm.---distract the voter from seeing how POORLY the unemployment rate really is-Heck I am still unemployed and I have been for the last 18 months even though I have a master's degree and I have the student loan debt to prove it--thanks Obama for messing up my life!!
Ron Paul is very sound with his economic views. Of course when he starts talking about economics it sounds like a foreign language to most. Or when he talks about getting rid of useless government departments the media loves to play off that.
OMG RON PAUL WANTS TO GET RID OF THE FDA?!,!?!?!?!?! WHO WILL SAVE US FROM ORGANIC FOOD AND SALMONELLA?!?!?!?!?
This whole "war on women" was a creation of the white house to distract people from the economic miracle of Obama. Not to mention Michelle Obama is the one telling people what they can and can not eat!
The republican record on the economy is alot better than the democrats. Considering that SO much of our economic woes come from Obama. We can't drill for oil. No pipeline. OBAMACARE. Not to mention ALL the taxes, regulations, and overspending! And lets not forget WHY we are in this mess! Barney Frank and Chris Dodd!!
The Conservatives want to start any kind of disruption of our society so they can then claim that thier idiotic conspiracies are true.... Race, Civil, you name it the Cons would love it.. States Rights would trump Federal law, just imagine how nice that would end up..
What do you mean by culture war? I see the left trying to start race wars, especially MSNBC. Also class warfare and gender warfare. All the left does is play one group against the other.
Well, in this most recent round, it's been gays who are oppressed, by being denied the right to marry; and until a little over a year ago, to serve in the military. In previous rounds, it was the rights of black people to ride in the front of the bus; of a woman to decide for her DAMN self, whether or not to have a baby; or to vote, or to marry a person of a different race.
I suppose I should clarify, that it is CONSERVATIVES, and not necessarily REPUBLICANS who are the agents of culture war. The parties have switched sides a few times in our history. Currently the GOP IS the Conservative party, but that was not always the case.
I love loaded questions. How about presenting some evidence they are starting a culture war at all instead of presenting a question that presents it as a foregone conclusion with only the reasoning in question? So far the media has done more to start a culture war (from both sides) than any political party. Besides, why does everything have to be a 'war' with you people?
The GOP has been in control of the House for more than a year now, and they JUST passed their first jobs-related bill, last week. What HAVE they focused on? Abortion, conrtraception, the definition of rape, and same-sex marriage.
Do I REALLY need to waste precious time looking up every bill worked for the last year and or so to show how obviously stupid/untrue this statement is? No. That is all the lamestream media has focused on.
Show me 2 bills which passed the house which are directly related to jobs. Just two. In fact, forget two. Republicans got elected in 2010 by promising that job-creation would be their #1 priority, so show me ONE bill that passed in the first 2 months of this congress. That would be between mid-January and March of 2011. I don't need to see ALL of them, just show me ONE!
How about six? Read the texts. Every one of them contained appropriations for job creation, and everyone of them Republican sponsored. There are a few others, but I kept it to the most obvious ones. BTW: I ignored your silly criteria, since your rant said specifically "The GOP has been in control of the House for more than a year now, and they JUST passed their first jobs-related bill, last week." My response was to that bold faced lie. If your going have any integrity, defend your original assertion; don't try to weasel out of it by defining the only set of parameters that work in your favor when someone calls your B.S.

I stand corrected. They only spent almost their entire first year focusing on culture-wars, before bothering to pay attention to the issue that got them elected.
They are continuing in haste a bolder and less cautious dog whistle riddled version of a culture war because they don't want America to be America, they want it to be the South circa pre-civil war era. Period.
