Are Republicans Racists? OR are they nuts like Michele Bachmann? Did the Tea Party decimate the GOP'd Moderates?

Some, some of them are, others are not. Those in the Tea Party movement...who call themselves teabaggers *chortle* generally are... it's generally the case, I haven't seen a Tea Party member being not racist. You have to be white, have to have two kids, your husband must work in management and have a nice upper class car...oh and you absolutely must be wealthy. That said there are a number of Republicans who don't think that way, they think that Republicanism is an attitude to life not a way of life, that freedom and liberty is a good thing but power can corrupt (Tea Party).

That's why I can get on with certain republicans but not others, even if they question the Messiah (tongue-in-cheek-humour alert). The republicans that believe in fairness to all, for instance those who believe that everyone should be subject to the same laws as applied by the state they live in, those that believe education should be awarded to all based on their ability to pay not their skin colour. I can understand them and get along with them. I might not agree with them in everything they say or do but Republicans are generally people who want liberty, they don't want to pay taxes, they want to give to charity voluntarily (if they do at all) and they want to be paid a fair wage without someone taking a cut out of it for something they disagree with.

Perhaps it's only the authoritarians I can't get along with *ponders*.
