"Racists" are more likely to align themselves with the Republican Party than the Democratic Party, considering that "racism" often means adopting a right-wing position on social issues that's only provided by right-wing parties.

I think the question focuses more on repug and teabuger traits than the converse. Other traits of repugs and teabugers are a propensity to be narrowminded, a propensity to believe that most people are inherently evil, a sense of pessimism and fatalistic outlook.

A bit of both. I've seen things in my white friends I never saw before. All it took was a black man in the white house to see things that have totally surprised me including in members of my family like aunts, uncles and cousins. It isn't pretty.

Actually neither. What makes you thing Republicans are racist. How is this racist. None of what they said was hateful. Obama doesn't care about any racial group, it's all bout him. This doesn't even happen all the time it's what people like you want to get into our minds to be against a certain political party. Let's go back to the days of slavery. Did you know that it was the Democrats who strongly favored it?

Obviously you didn't click as single link in the blog. By the way here is a history lesson you obviously need on the shift in the two parties. We can also go back and discuss how CONSERVATISM tried to hold onto the institution of slavery. But this blog is talking about TODAY! RIGHT NOW! All the examples I posted have been since 2008.

I've said it many times. Lift the hood from any KKK member at any cross burning in any red state and ask "Are you liberal or conservative" what answer are you going to get 100% of the time? Go to any skin head rally and ask if they prefer the Republican or Democratic candidate (not just this year obviously) and what answer are you gonna get. Be honest.

One side gave us the civil rights act and the other didn't And spare me the ancient history of southern Dixiecrats in the 1800s please.

I really intended to vote.... both.the old Southern/ White American Segregationist Racist found a home in the Nixon Republican Party in the 1960's.and it is stronger and an accepted way of thinking today.Mitt Romney is a classic example of how easy it is to adopt racist attitudes for your own self promotion and gain at the expense of innocent peoples lives.Mitt is George Wallace without the Alabama accent.Wealth and Power corrupt.is there any doubt if the RWNJs demonstrated sufficient voter strength to elect Mitt Romney President and had the political power by state to return the country to segregation,he would sign it? the whole Republican Party and its Agenda is built on fanning the flames of Racial hatred.for some unknown mystical reason the Republican decks of double sided Race Cards keep falling out of their pockets for everyone to see at the most in-opportune times. If I didn't know better,I'd believe there is a Higher Power watching the practice of Right and Wrong.and ...ooopppsss...Nawwww! I'm getting carried away....O.K. I'll just say it.for You to think over. All the REPUBLICANS: meaning people of similar thinking demonstrate all the predicted behavior of those described as the Anti-Christ.

    Obama Tops the list

To me a racist is someone who differentiates between a group of individuals by race. "Blacks for Obama" is a clear example.

The other two most predominate Racists are Jessi Jackson and Al Sharpton. The 2 so called Holy men stir racial disharmony where ever they go. Because if there was no Racism they would just fade away.

You're logic (or lack of) is very flawed. Those same Blacks that voted for President Obama also the same who were "Blacks for Clinton, Gore, and Kerry". Does that make them racists?

Do you see the links I posted? Those are racist and bigoted things racist bigoted republicans have said and done. Please post your evidence of the racist and radical things Rev. Jackson or Sharpton have done or said. Notice everything I posted are events that have happened since 2009. But by all means if you have to dig up ancient history I'll accept artifacts.

    "I am - Somebody.

I may be poor, but I am - Somebody!

I may be on welfare, but I am - Somebody!

I may be uneducated, but I am - Somebody!

I must be, I’m God’s child. I must be respected and protected.

I am Black, I am White, I am Brown, I am Yellow, I am beautiful! I am - Somebody!

    - Rev. Jesse Jackson....

Sorry, but I just can't find the racism in that.

A racist is someone who differentiates between a group of individuals by race.
"Blacks for Obama" is a clear example.

That example has nothing to do with who is voted for who. I will not argue the fact that most of the times blacks vote Democrat. What I think is racist is the fact that Obama went out and made a distinction that a certain race should vote for him. What would you say if Romney had come out with whites for Romney?

I will not argue the fact that there are republican racists, to even try to I would be lying and stupid. There are racists on both sides. But to make sweeping statements like all Republican/conservatives are racist is ignorant. That would be like me saying all liberal are moon bats. It is just not the case.

As for Jesse and AL they are far from holy men. All they do is look for the spotlight. They are racist, don't kid your self.

Anyone can write a pretty poem.

Actions speak louder than words. Every time these guys talk they are fanning the fires of racial disharmony not trying to disarm them.

I think you've got that little twisted. A racist is someone who NOT solely differentiates, but more so HATES a group of individuals by race. In most cases seeing their own race as more superior to any other based on race alone. "The GOP/Tea Party" is a clear example.

You need look no farther than than "The Southern Strategy" if you're going to split hairs about this and base your warped theory of the President being a racist solely on a group that wasn't set up by his campaign. Did he hate his mother? Did he hate his grandparents who also reared him? Sorry dude but your wacked out Glenn Beck'esque theory has more holes in it than a slice of Swiss cheese. I won't go as far as you and say a organization like "Latinos For Romney" makes him a racist. In fact despite the shenanigans he pulled at the NAACP convention, I don't think he's racist. But he is the ultimate Manchurian Candidate. He want the office of President for NOTHING more than to advance himself and his billionaire boys club & pals to thwarting America into an Oligarchy/Plutocracy/Corporat... The only color that matters to these people is GREEN... BUT ONLY FOR THEM!

As for the Rev. Jesse Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton you still haven't provided any credible evidence or proof of your claims. As you cans see above, I've provided such things to support my claims.

True, anyone can write a pretty poem. But to actually live it is quite another thing. As I said before you've presented nothing to prove the Rev. Jackson has done otherwise.

Actions do speak louder than words. I'm Jewish, and a member of the NAACP, the Rainbow Push Coalition, and the National Action Network. In all of these organizations they're multicultural and a true melting pot like America. Unlike conservative organizations such as Council Of Conservative Citizens or Stormfront.org.

I give you props for not denying that racists are republican, as I do not believe "republicans are racist" because I personally know republicans who loathe what their party have become and want to take it back from elements such as the Tea Party. But I will tell that these republicans are Obama supporters, and I can definitely see why. Probably the same reason they had "Reagan Democrats".

But don't kid yourself. The "both sides" argument I hear out of all conservative pundits, strategists, and reps simply don't hold up. It's the RIGHT side and the FACTS support it. "You can have your own OPINION, but you can't have your own FACTS!"

I can see where this dialog is going. You will not change what I believe in and I will not change what you believe. So before it goes any further lets just stop it here.

For the record If Romeny was the one who started Latio's for Romney then yes I consider that and him a racist. If the group was started independently by Latino's then there is a difference.

I just think sometimes we need to stop analyzing the pathological minds of nutcases, which adheres and accredits them in that way at least, with some form of rational and disciplined intellectual merit and instead speak out what it all boils down to and in the simple terms which they rather deserve. How long does one need to watch and listen to people like Muslim hater Terry Jones before we know all we need to know about him,for example?.To then squabble over what exactly he is or isn't and try to define him and his mind is simply a waste of time, most of the time.

That guy is a total whack job.

I have friends who are Muslims and they are good loyal Americans. The unfortunate thing is that there are extremist haters everywhere. There are Muslims who do actually hate the US & Israel. I do feel Hate is a learned thing. I would not want to associate with a person who is filled with hate no matter who it's directed toward. I do not raise my child to hate. I tell her to have nothing to do with anyone who judges a person by what is on the outside. I know me raising her this way will not stop all the hate but it is a start.

Now that we are in total agreement on. My daughter is ½ Jewish and ½ Black and though I know she'll come across some kid who's raised in a less than tolerant environment, I've taught her to take the high road and let that person be an idiot by themselves and not to be one with them. As you said it's a start, and I can't think of a better place to make a start than with us and ours. Most often out of control blazes were started with a single spark. I hope I'm here to witness the world become a place blanketed with out of control peace, love, and tolerance.

Facts about Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are wrong. You are on the wrong side of History. If you can't understand what they represent, who they are, and what they stand for, you should just keep their names out of your mouth. They go where there are racial problems, they march for PEACE, they try to unite and help intergrate, relationships with other races. You are right, if there was NO Racism, they would just fade away. So what does this tell you? They are STILL out there, right?
