They don't know anything else to do but sabotage. They don't know how to discuss issues and act sensible. They think sabotaging will prevent people from voting for him. They may not realize it but they are actually puting votes in pocket.

So in your brain facts = talking points and nothing more right?

Sartre said that hell is the impossibility of reason, and that is the world you live it. Have fun.

I'll keep reason and rationality thank you.

Nope... In my brain, some so-called partisans are nothing more then pets(animals) that need humans to toss toy for them to fetch.

See your so focus on trying to have a debate that you've become nothing more then a dog that chases a ball to me.

But like the dog that can only focus on chasing the ball, you'll come back with another talking point(ball)...

    Prove me wrong..

    fetch ball

BTW... Pat Benatar sung a song called "Hell... Hell is for children... and know that their life has become such a mess..."

    Enjoy your mess.

Yup. Like I said, in your mind, talking points and facts are one and the same, and you feel free to ignore any facts that do not make you happy.

The search for truth is an utterly futile game of fetch in your fevered mind. It is beyond meaningless.

Facts, knowledge, education, reason, are all things you hold in contempt.

    You are a nihilist anti-intellectual.

Nope... it's a talking point boy... Partisans love to wrap up their facts in "talking points".

Fine. Give me an example of any historical fact that is not a talking point.

PS is the value of Pi a talking point?

Well okay... finally you want to actually have an "honest" conversation... But I'll have to value it by each of your responses.

    Historical fact...

Partisan ideology has effected Americans for decades.

    True or False?

Follow up... Why is partisan ideology so important?

    Pi is a scientific fact.

This is not answering the question. We need to stay on topic.

Please give me an example of a historical fact that is not a talking point.

It would be even better to give us your criteria for how you separate historical facts from talking points as a class.

    LMAO....

You don't even see what you just did...

Who gave you permission to set any rules in this conversation?

I gave you an answer... You don't like too bad. You don't understand it, then ask more questions.

But controlling me to allow you to set the agenda of the conversation is not going to happen.

    Try again.
  • Hamilton Contard... 2012/08/06 17:42:05
    Hamilton
No. No matter how you slice it you did not answer the question.

You like the kid in college who, when asked an essay question he is not fully prepared to answer, tries to answer questions that were not asked. Some Profs fall for that, most don't.

Asking for a straight and meaningful answer from you is not "controlling you" -- it is just that -- asking for a straight and meaningful answer.

In order to have any meaningful conversation we have to know what the difference between a fact and a talking point is.
  • Contard... Hamilton 2012/08/06 18:15:40

Sorry, but either you take my thoughts as how I decide to answer or we won't have a conversation...

Then it is impossible to communicate like rational people do.

I asked a simple straightforward question and you do not want to give me a straight answer. Fine. It just confirms what I have already known for quite some time. You are deathly afraid of facts, reality, ANYTHING that will interfere with your ideological mantra.

Any facts that mar that perfect vision of a reality that can never actually be, are to be ruthlessly rejected as mere talking points. This is why you dare not define the difference between the two, lest you actually have to accept realities that you do not like.

    Stay asleep and be gone.

    LMAO...

You just can't get over other's communication in a way in which you're too immature to comprehend.

All you've done is consistently attack me for not conforming to a lower level of comprehension.

See, facts are black and white.. but the ground that they been developed upon is gray...

But you're afraid of the gray.... you can't handle the hues of the gray spectrum. So you throw out any variance of black, any variance of white...

My world is a color spectrum... it isn't just black or white.

Tell me how pi = this?

    color spectrum

Open your eyes to a world you can't fathom to imagine, or go back to dreaming in black and white. .

Did you fail grade school social studies?

In the Senate, it takes exactly ONE Senator to stop any bill from being voted on. It's called a filibuster rule and it sure gets tiring trying to educate so many simpletons on the way it was used by the GOP.

Are you stupid or are you hoping people reading this are?

Um, it takes 41 Senators.. 41... to prevent a cloture vote to end a filibuster. The Republicans didn't have this many for the first two years of the Obama administration.

Speaking of Jr. Hi. social studies.....

They have opening stated that it is their goal to make sure he fails (ala Rush) Their only aim in life is to beat him in November and they started the campaign the day he was elected. I can only hope that the public will punish such childish behavior because it puts their ambition before the needs of the American people. They would not pass the jobs bill because it asked them to raise taxes just a little on their banking friends. They all took the Grover Norquist pledge and are scared to death of a little tyrant who nobody elected to anything.

Yep, and all because they said that President Obama is helping the people too much and that he should let them stay poor and suffer. The same Tea-party and the Koch brothers that throwing millions behind Mitt Romney campaign. Then you will wonder why Mitt Romney is into his firing people mode. Talking that he will fire 145, 000 government workers becasue they sucking up too much of the Government money. He targets Teachers, Firefighters, and Police Officers, yet some of these same people are pomping up support for him. You can't imagine how people can build their own death bed.
