You like the kid in college who, when asked an essay question he is not fully prepared to answer, tries to answer questions that were not asked. Some Profs fall for that, most don't.

In order to have any meaningful conversation we have to know what the difference between a fact and a talking point is.
I asked a simple straightforward question and you do not want to give me a straight answer. Fine. It just confirms what I have already known for quite some time. You are deathly afraid of facts, reality, ANYTHING that will interfere with your ideological mantra.
Any facts that mar that perfect vision of a reality that can never actually be, are to be ruthlessly rejected as mere talking points. This is why you dare not define the difference between the two, lest you actually have to accept realities that you do not like.
