Are Republicans are aware that there are people in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s that still only make minimum wage? Its not just teens at the start of their first job.

Republicans say the minimum wage should not be a living wage cause its a entry level job for young people just started their first job. What about all those people of all ages that no matter what they do, they cant earn more than minimum wage cause no one will pay them more? A lot of people live like that. How are they supposed to live?

Republicans would like to get rid of the minimum wage altogether. We should try this little experiment first. If any of these clowns actually get re-elected, let’s pay them what they’re worth. Let’s pay them $5.00 an hour and see how far that gets them in DC. No health insurance either because health insurance provided by the government is Socialism.

They are so out of touch with working Americans. This is a question asked of Rick Santorum when he was a candidate...."What two things will guarantee that there will not be in poverty in America?”

( Santorum) “Number one, graduate from high school. Number two, get married. Before you have children,” he said. “If you do those two things, you will be economically successful".

Crazy talk. Newt thinks child labor laws are silly. They are consumed with the delusion that the United States of America is a meritocracy where everyone is treated fairly and anyone can pull himself up by his bootstraps if he or she just works hard enough, pays their dues, and keeps their nose to the grindstone, and never complains.

Grand, in a depressed economy like we have stagnant wages are most likely true. Especially in low skill jobs. I also know several people who spend most of their working careers in 'low skill' jobs.

Does it matter if you are an excellent waiter with 25 years experience if I can quickly train an excellent waiter after 3 to months on the job?

Can the same be said for say an excellent 'IT' technician? a carpenter or electrician? No those trades can't be learned in 3 months, there is a shortage of their skills they are paid more.

I could go into why college graduates of such things as engineering or Chemistry make more than the trade people. If you think you can artificially inflate the cost associated with hiring new or keeping existing employees to businesses and expect that to improve the situation, I wish you the best but it's not gonna work.
