Are neo-conservatives certifiably insane

One popular modern bromide tells us that a definition of insanity is "doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results." So, why do GOP senators and representatives think that tax cuts are the answer to the nation's current economic woes when that approach has been proven bankrupt since the days of Ronald Reagan, but most especially during the Bush years?

Property values are plummeting worldwide. Property taxes willl drop with re-evaluations. Sales taxes are a retail nightmare and really difficult to administer, and income taxes are already on the chopping block. So we'll pay cops, firemen, and teachers with what? Want your street plowed? Potholes patched? Bridges made safe? Tax cuts, take money away from local governments, that'll do it.
It isn't a question of cutting taxes, it's an issue of making the tax system fair. Warren Buffet made the statement before the elections that he made millions in income and paid taxes at a lower rate than his secretary. Something is wrong here.
It's the system that needs to change, and neither party seems to have a handle on that.
Grow up.
And by the way, Mr. christian superman, thank you for a very instructive lesson on how jesus expects you to treat your fellow countrymen. Now I know what jesus would do.
