Are liberals just people who never matured?

Gracie - Proud Conservative 2012/09/18 00:57:44
They cry, they scream, grown men get flustered and celebrity worship is a mainstay. They love Hollywood, they want someone else to pay for what they want, and they think the solution to our economic problems is to take money from people who have earned it and give it to those who haven't. They just seem to be so juvenile in their thoughts. It's nothing new, history is filled with the duped. Is there a cure?

You!

I was a Liberal for all of my adult life, and always voted for the Democrat candidate
for POTUS....... until 2008, and I won't go into the reasons for my leaving the Democrat
party except to say I was working for Hillary's campaign......

WHat I want to address is the statement "Are Liberals just people who never matured?"
I think I was an responsible adult who went to college and had a responsible job,
children I raised, etc. I think I was mature if you define that as being responsible.
I went with the Democrat party because I thought they cared about people......I listened
to Cronkite and Rather, worked forty hours a week and really didn't get that involved
in politics, and I voted Democrat.......except occasionally. in local elections I voted for someone
else because it was more personal and I knew the candidates on a personal level.
And I saw myself as one who cares about others and thought we should care for
    those less fortunate.

After I left the Democratic Party, I couldn't listen to the LSM anymore.......I couldn't
believe I had voted for Gore and Kerry.........knowing now what I know. Gore is a pompous @$$ who made a bundle promoting climate change, and Kerry turns
out to be another pompous @$$ as well................ I don't recognize the Democratic
    party I had ...

Well then, take my points to task. Rather than talk it away with the typical "talking points" rhetoric. I countered your post with (what I deem) factual evidence and its your turn to return. That is the definition of debate. Unless you are ceding the defeat by answering this way but I expected more.

"And how did that "$800 Million Stimulus" work out again?"

It was $800billion and it produce minimal jobs. Most of it was
wasted on crony capitalism, of which solyndra is an example.
Much of it went to municipalities to pay government employees
which didn't produce jobs but just delayed the budget crisis in
    those places.

He sold the stimulus on the basis of shovel ready jobs which would
    repair US infrastructure.....

Then after he squandered that $800billion and didn't improve the
economy, he proposed another stimulus to rebuild the US infrastructure. Is that what his so called jobs bill consists of which
he says the GOP is holding up...more shovel ready jobs?

This has all been discussed on TV and on SH; so anyone who is
informed already knows this stuff, and I get tired of repeating it
    when challenged by the 0-bots.

Romney knows how to create jobs. He will decrease the crippling
EPA regulations, those imposed by 0bamacare and he will settle the
indecision about taxes........all of which will create an atmosphere where those risk takers will want to invest capital and that leads to
job creation. Do you have any idea of the $trillions that those risk takers are sitting in because the atmosphere for job creation is so
    unknown and risky.

Thank you. You expressed my experiences as well. I did, however, vote for Obama in 2008, believing that he truly meant to clean up the corruption in Washington, that he would actually try to bring more openness and transparency to government.
Boy, was I wrong. The man has been the most devious, crooked politician ever, and his Cabinet appointees even more so. I have never seen more corruption, more greed, and disregard for the rule of law.
Like you, the Democrat Party is no longer the party I used to be associated with.

I didn't vote for 0bama....... having participated in the primaries, I watched
what was going on and I researched 0bama. There was nothing in his background
that showed he was experienced or qualified to be POTUS. He has always used race
and dirty tricks to win elections....he did with Hillary, and it turned me off. I also saw
the mesmerizing effect he had on others (my friends were caught up in it), and
nothing could change their minds....I figured he would win, but he would win without my
vote, and I am happy I didn't vote for him.

Like you said, "the Democrat Party is no longer the party I used to be associated with"
I won't go back....... and I thought in 2008 when they elected 0bama over selecting
the first qualified woman to be POTUS, 0bama will destroy the Democrat party....and
he has. It is just a matter of time. These revelations that are coming out about
0bama not attending his own daily intelligence briefings and the Middle East on
fire after his policy of appeasement of Islam for 4 years should make even the strongest
admirer of his sit up and take notice.

It suggests that maybe our POTUS should not be
going to fundraisers...and maybe he should be attending his daily
intelligence report. It suggest that maybe he should have called
Morsi on 911 when the rioters were defacing our Cairo Embassy
and burning our flag, and asked Morsi to protect our Embassy,
as he started to do two days later after a phone call from 0bama.......

If you don't believe that sequence of events, just listen to one
of the many interviews UN Ambassador Rice gave to the 4 networks
on the Sunday morning shows........ for damage control.

This is more in line with the Cheezit cheese being graded on the commercial as "aged" or not. Most of the comments here need a check in the "not mature" box! I can see the canned snot being whizzed all over by the writers of most comments here. Conjures up Animal House scenes too! Amazing pot calling the kettle black action!
