Its one thing to be proud of being gay, but dancing around naked isn't going to help win people over.

You clearly don't understand pride. Have you ever been shamed for being heterosexual? Have you ever had to hide that part of yourself? In other countries, are people being killed, arrested and subjected to horrible cruelties for being straight? Is heterosexual marriage controversial and often illegal? No. Gay pride parades are a celebration because we're proud of who we are, it's the one place you don't have to worry about hiding it or being discriminated against at all.

I don't think you should be given special recognition or celebrate the fact that you are somebody who enjoys having sex with the same sex. And, that's what this is all about.

If gays want to show their pride, they should have a day for showing their accomplishments in life. Not for looking like a bunch of sissy mental cases, showing their ugly bodies and making the rest of the world look at them on display going down Main Street USA.

doesn't matter dude, even if ur kids are not present at mardi gras, at some point they will be introduced to mardi gras, spring break, and frat parties, by other men and women. the same men and women who participate in those are the same kind of people who will introduce it to ur kids. even if gay men participate in mardi gras or girls gone wild, or frat parties or spring break, I highly doubt that gay men invented mardi gras where men try to hook up with other women, just the same way that straight men did not invent gay pride. Sure, society is far from perfect. Never has been or will be. But 'gay pride'? Can't see anything about it to be 'proud' of. But as long as there are only a 'few kids' present, you're ok with that....just so long as there is ...not so many.

I do not condone any of this. It would be my guess that most of the people are nothing but drunk. I don't have anything against alcohol when used in moderation. As we always told our only daughter as she was growing....nothing good come of alcohol.
