If you read Emanuel's brother's papers on rationing care and care for the elderly and the disabled it becomes quite clear that if you do not contribute or no longer contribute to his highness and the administration, yo are toast. It also declares that people will become "units" in the system. Marriage and families are counterproductive to their goals and it appears, that destruction of the family nucleus is right on target to making their dreams of individual "units" the way of life in the future. Gays are trying to be married but there is such a penalty for being married I'm not so sure why they want to. A married woman gets no help from the government. The same woman in the same situation could collect up to $6,000 in tax money if she wasn't married. Incentive to not be married? I think so.

NO [explain why you think not].
    Old Salt
Of course not. First of all, what possible reason could they have? I can understand that the GOP is beholden to the big business interests that pay their way, but why would the Dems be at war with their primary constituency? That's just another lie from the professional liars of the GOP's Lies and Slime Machine. If any party would be at war with families, it would be the GOP, certainly not the party primarily made up of families.

Absolutely they are. They want everyone dependent on them. The gov wants to raise us, not be our nanny from birth (if you are lucky enough not to be aborted) to grave. Socialism and communism does that and that is what lib/progressives/ democrats are all about.

Kinda funny women say get off my body but under Obamacare the gov will have complete access to your body. They will be in all aspects of your body

Progressives (communists) hate God and families. They believe one's allegiance should be to the state.

so by chance do you look up to figures like George Rockwell? I mean he hated communists and atheists himself a long with other groups of people he believed were working with them to take everything apart.

once again, you are making assumptions. i would consider myself a progressive because i believe in equal rights for all and advancing ourselves scientific. I have meet communists before, they are nutty but over all harmless and few in number.

and do i hate god? how can i hate something that doesn't exist? or at least have no evidence of existing. it's pretty much the followers that suck mainly because of this high and mighty attitude so many of them show and the need to dehumanize everyone else.

and how can i hate families? don't we all need one? how can i hate something that embedded in our nature to have the need for?

I disagree. Many Progressives hate a mother who chooses not to work, or a man who works hard and agrees for his wife to stay at home. Hate family - check

Hate God - atheist - check

No, I think Democrats are waging a war on families. I agree with the article. And I think it is stupid to make 5,000,000 women angry. But that is what the Democrats have done.

In true Progressive fashion there was no real apology, only an attempt to explain it away.
  • reaper Wolfman 2012/04/16 06:29:07
    reaper
alright then, for what reason would Progressives want to wage a war on families?
  • Wolfman reaper 2012/04/16 06:48:01
    Wolfman
Beats me. I thought it was a pretty stupid move, yet
over the years Democrats have attacked traditional values.

Democrats brought us the wholesale destruction of the nuclear family, and the resultant poverty and crime that attends it. Currently 41 percent of children are born to single mothers, most of whom are low-income women in their early and mid-20s. In the black American community, that percentage soars to a staggering 72 percent. These trends are directly connected to Democrats’ and president Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society,” and the critical changes they made to the Aid to Families with Dependent Children Program (AFDC). A program once reserved for funding once-married women who had lost the primary male supporter of the family was expanded to include any household where there was no male family head present.

Various studies reveal the utter chaos that informs the lives of an alarming number of children raised by single mothers: they comprise about 70 percent of juvenile murderers, delinquents, teenaged mothers, drug abusers, dropouts, suicides and runaways.

    http://frontpagemag.com/2012/...

So you tell me, why do Democrats War on Families?
  • reaper Wolfman 2012/04/16 07:38:51
    reaper
hmm, 41 percent of children are born to single mothers. sounds like we need to teach more women about birth control methods like the pill or condoms. to bad conservatives... hate birth control and wish to teach absence only that DO NOT WORK! some people just don't understand our own psychology.

condoms conservatives hate birth teach absence work people understand psychology
my theory on that is you have more kids to send to war in which conservatives love a whole lot.

as for expanding a program to help single mothers that are likely working anyways is a bad thing? so you want those kids live not getting proper school, food, or housing? you don't get how hard many single mothers work to get by and take care of their kids.

as for children raised by single mothers have an increase in those figures maybe you should understand more people do things that are messed up due to psychologic problems they have or a lack of hope in life. if you attack a single mother because she is one it affects the kids in the process making them feel less about themselves.

and sometimes it's best dad wasn't there if he is abusive. I have a friend that grew up with one that was really bad from what she told me. and one day her mom took her and her brother and just left. they couldn't of been happier since then. so tell me, who is waging war families now?
  • Wolfman reaper 2012/04/16 07:57:48
    Wolfman
Obie has expanded the war in Afghanistan and started a new war in Libya. Who likes war a lot?

Yes, it is a bad thing. You are encouraging women to remain single. You just don't get it do you. Currently 41 percent of children are born to single mothers, most of whom are low-income women in their early and mid-20s. Before the Great Society it was 20%.

It is quite obvious who is waging war on families and has been for years. Democrats hate families and women. Why, I do not know. Perhaps it is simply do-gooder blundering, but they should be able to look at the results of the blundering and question their methods.

I have showed you the terrible results of Democratic programs and showed you how they have destroyed the family. You come back with a lame comment on wars and accuse Republicans of starving children. Did you never learn cause and effect logic in school?

we got troops out of Iraq, and we were suppose to be in Afghanistan in the first place because of job was still needed to be done. And we are not at war with Libya, thats mainly a NATO op, no ground troops there. but i do know of a some guy from my area that went over himself to fight. don't ask why because i don't know.

and no one is encouraging women to be single but sometimes crappy things happen and they can't be helped but at least some people are trying to make things easier for them and it's not the Republicans. all they care about I giving more tax cuts to the richest of everyone and cutting programs meant to help people.
  • Wolfman reaper 2012/04/16 15:46:48
    Wolfman
We are still in Iraq. What job are we doing in Afghanistan exactly; what is our mission? How do we know when we have won? The NATO Ops in Libya is out aircraft, our helicopters, our air maintenance support, our marines, our cruise missiles, our ordnance, our smart bombs, our stealth aircraft, and our expense. We have a Canadian commander so it is a joint operation. Your guy went to fight because Obie has a war going on over there.

The government is encouraging women to have children and remain single. The government is paying them to do it. If they get married they don't get that money. What else would you call it but encouragement? Democratic encouragement has doubled the single-mother percentage.

We could tax all the rich people 100% and we still can not afford all of our "entitlement" programs. We are $16-TRILLION in debt and Santa's broke.

oh god, NO ONE IS ENCOURAGING WOMEN TO HAVE CHILDREN AND REMAIN SINGLE! that just sounds like a strange conspiracy theory to me.

and no one is wanting to take the rich fully, just want them to pay a more fair share.

oh god, DEMOCRATS HAVE BEEN ENCOURAGING WOMEN TO HAVE CHILDREN AND REMAIN SINGLE!

The rich already pay a fair share.

    Taxes paid by highest incomes

The top 1% pay 22.7% of taxes.
The top 10% pay 50% of taxes.
The top 20% pay 65.3% of taxes.
The top 40% pay 84.3% of taxes.

    Taxes paid by lowest incomes

The bottom 20% pay 1.1% of taxes.
The bottom 40% pay 6.1% of taxes.

The bottom 40% pay about 6% of taxes, while the top 40% pay about 85% of taxes — or about 14 times more than their counterparts in the lower brackets. But in light of the constant droning “the rich don’t pay their fair share”, how many expected the distribution reported in the CBO paper? Be honest.

The Democrats have made 5,000,000 women angry? Which party is waving the evangelical flag against birth control, family planning, women have the right to make their own health care decisions without having to answer to a church run by and for men? Again, Wolfman, if you can't say something consturctive to the debate, go home, before your mom finds out what you've been doing on her computer instead of homework.

Wolfman, you're one of the reasons folks leave these boards. I can understand that folks will have political differences, but to go public with statements that actually call out your political opponents with the kind of labels you've used here tells most of us that 1) you're hopelessly ignorant of what those terms mean, 2) you're hopelessly ignorant period, or 3) you're simply working for the NRC, spreading your lies, hate and mischief, in hopes that enough people will believe your hate speech to swing the election in November. You know, the one in which you're going to get your butts wiped. Regardless, please clear these boards until such time as you're capable of a reasoned, intelligent discussion of political position, without the hate speech that taints everything you write here.

If you're talking about George Lincoln Rockwell, he was the head of the American Nazi Party. To suggest that either party today is truly aligned with Nazis or Communists, or even atheists, is the lowest form of political theater, peddling lies in hopes of convincing the public that your opponent is somehow immoral or un-American. This is a Republican modus operandi.
