I have seen it all over the web recently. Ron Paul supporters not just campaigning for their candidate but outright bashing Mitt Romney, with statements such as , "Mitt Romney is the same as Obama." Mitt Romney is headed to prison" "Mitt Romney is as corrupt as Obama". Surprisingly enough its not just the Ron Paul supporters. I have seen conservatives advocating for a brokered convention in which, Sarah Palin, or Allen West would be chosen. I admire both of those people very much, but the poll numbers are clear. Only Mitt Romney has a chance of beating Obama.

Mitt Romney

They bash Romney with the furor of any rabid Obama supporter. I have seen it. It disturbs me. You can guarantee that the Democrats and Liberals will be 100% united. They will back Obama no matter what. Seeing fellow conservatives bashing Romney with the same insults and respect as Obama supporters is disturbing. I have seen fellow conservatives even bashing his religion. Who do you guys thinks this helps in the long run? It helps Obama. He is LOVING the strife among conservatives.

Sorry but I despise Romney as much as I did McCain..I voted for McCain only because of Sarah Palin in 2008..I have been watching my Missouri poll so since Romney will win Missouri anyway I am going to vote for a 3rd party Conservative..I have has it with these RINO's..I did the same thing with the RINO Jo Anne Emerson in 2010 and I felt so good about my vote..I have had it with the political process and to be honest, I think Romney will lose against Obama..He can not be weak like McCain and just hit Obama with soft blows..He has got to hit hard and show he is different from Obama..i am already ticked about his wishy washy position on abortion and his support of the Patriot Act and NDAA is inexcusable!! I am very upset about this election..I got several Republicans I will vote for in Congress!! I want McCaskill out!! Conservatives need to realize we got to get 95% of Congress out as well..This has to be a house cleaning in both parties..We got to get the Progressives out!!

I'm a right wing Christian conservative and at this point in time I have absolutely no intention of voting if Romney is handed the nomination at the convention. Romney is not a conservative. Some of the issues he supported when he was governor of Massachusetts like gay rights, abortion and gun control, deeply disturb me. I think this is the real Mitt Romney no matter what he says otherwise. I'm not an RP supporter either and I would hope the GOP gets the message that Romney, like McCain and Dole before, is not going to carry the base on Election Day and that a brokered convention would be in order. I don't want to see Obama reelected but I'm not going to vote for Romney's brand of liberal Republicanism. We need a right winger to turn this country around and if I've got to wait four more years to get that candidate then so be it.

I'm not even close to a RP supporter and I refuse to vote for Mitt. I'm sorry if you don't think long term like I do. But what I know is that Mitt will not save us.

Absolutely. Any one who refuses to vote for Romney come November based on principles or because they are pissed off their candidate didn't make the cut, might as well say "hey look at me I am a Liberal" becuase they are acting like one and helping a Marxist Liberal getting re-elected.

No matter what negatives you may have heard from the MSM - even if any of it is true - can be held in check with a conservative Congress. Regardless of what you think you may know about Romney, you can be certain Obama is far, far worse.

Lately I have listened to other commentators and they are doing a fair job of shedding the light of truth about Romney and most of the really outrageous stuff is spewed by liberals who would vote for Satan if he was running for office (Obama is almost that bad). While I wouldn't say Romney is as pure is the wind-driven snow, he isn't nearly as bad as liberal talking heads have painted him either.

Just for the sake of discussion here, follow the link which compares ObamaCare to RomneyCare, a commentary by Mona Charron: http://townhall.com/columnist...

Some libertarians simply refuse to understand that it is important for them to be on the winning side in an election and to influence the winner to increase our freedoms. They prefer to be pure and lose and lose and lose forever. There are only two significant parties in America and each is a coalition of many elements. It is not going to be otherwise.

typical lib thread. the lack of thinking shows the libs weakness. libby tell me why should i vote for romney when he is just like obama. tell me why i want a supporter of obamacare in the white house. why do i want a man that feels as governor spending and higher taxes is the way to run a government. maybe you can tell me why i want a man to tell us to be a us citizen you need to speak english unless he is giving a speech in puerto rico. why do i want a lib that flip flops on every issue depending on where the speech is given. i will never vote for ron paul, romney, or obama.

I've kinda come full circle on this issue. I believe it is possible to hurt Romney without helping Obama... but I also "get it" that the election process is seen as a binary choice set. I believe that is a big part of the problem, it should NOT be, but I don't know if I can live with another four years of 0bozo as the result of risking my vote on a third party, just in case it actually IS one.

"Ron Paul supporters not just campaigning for their candidate but outright bashing Mitt Romney, with Statements such as, "Mitt Romney is the same as Obama."

Well, that IS the truth! He won't solve our problems, guys--he's just the next puppet in line and it's "his turn". He said so himself.

Mitt Romney has the media backing him, Wall Street backing him, and the RNC backing him. He has his bank accounts backing him, and the mormons, and the people who don't know much about Ron Paul. He even has the majority of the Tea Party, which I find offensive because I was excited about the Tea Party its first year, now they're just the same as the other Republicans.

Ron Paul has We the People and we won't give up on our Candidate until we see how Tampa goes in August. The media lies to you, Romney has not won the nomination, he does not have the necessary amount of Delegates to secure his spot on the R ticket.

Don't you think you're jumping the gun and pointing fingers a little early here? Romney has NOT won the nomination yet. Ron Paul is STILL in the race! We dislike Romney, but we like Obama even less... I think a lot of us will realize what we have to do once the Convention in Tampa is over.

Ron Paul certainly would do better. Primaries are not important! I've said this before. It's all about the Delegates and Ron Paul has won hundreds of Delegates and is why he is still in the race and Rick Santorum dropped out (even before Newt Gingrich, if you remember correctly).

Alls I'm saying is: Let's not be hasty! We all want Barack Obama out.

I didn't say anything about the Democratic Nominee. She's inciting that Libertarians are calling Mitt Romney "Horrible things" like "Mitt is just like Barack" which is true, they certainly have their share of similarities. She's saying that because we haven't backed to RNC's obvious money wind bag, luke-warm moderate progressive flip flop, Goldman-Sachs guy... We're commiting some sort of treason or something and going to give Obama another election as if on purpose.

I scoff at this sentiment because Romney hasn't secured his nomination on the election 2012 ticket yet. The RNC and those who blindly follow it are saying WE HAVE NO CHOICE. It's like playing poker and someone declaring themselves the winner when all the cards haven't even be delt yet. it's lunacy.

This election isn't JUST about getting rid of Obam"uhh". It's also out-rooting the rest of the corrupted politicians. We were heading in the right direction in 2010, but it wasn't enough. We must get rid of all of the rest of the career politicians-- if they've been in a scandal of any kind-- boot them. If they voted on legislation that isn't for the American people-- BOOT THEM.
