Conservatives are the only thing holding America up at present.

These are three reasons the conservative wing of the modern republican party is making America worse.

Without the Conservative attitude, America would have one and a half feet in the grave. Liberals want to open the borders and give it to Mexicans (presumably so that they can do to America what they did to Mexico), destroy any motivation to get ahead financially, and make an excuse for every failure that mankind can be guilty of. Fail in school? It's because you are poor/colored/mentally unstable (and before you start with the idiotic replies, I am a person of color who doesn't make much money. I just believe in personal responsibility). People are always looking for the "easy out", and the easy out is what the Left is all about. You may not like conservatives, you may bitch about America, but you know that if you were anywhere else, you would be put down for doing the things the conservatives fight to preserve as freedoms.

LOL, there was NO SUCH thing as a Regressive when the constitution was written. Besides that, the regressive movement is a fools errand. For their policies to work, we would have to toss the constitution out the window.

Staying the same. As long as the democrats are stalling on every issue, things are going to remain the same. Don't forget the Republicans have been in the minority since 2007 and have very little impact on the state of the country. From 2007 until 2009, democrats held a 2/3 governmental majority with the House and the Senate while the GOP held a 1/3 minority. From 2009 until 2011, the democrats held a 100% majority with the WH, the House and the Senate while the GOP held 0% of the government. From 2011 until the present day, the democrats have held a 2/3 majority with the WH and the Senate while the GOP have held a 1/3 minority. It is 100% impossible to blame the GOP for anything that has happened to create the mess we are all facing.

It would be extremely foolish for anyone to claim that the party who is in the majority is so weak that they could allow the party in the minority to better them. All they are doing is proving how weak the democrats are and giving every reason why they should be put out of office. I would highly recommend that anyone with an ounce of intelligence to cease and desist this line of thought for the simple reason that only a complete and utter idiot would spew this nonsense. It just makes them look stupid.

Seeing that they fight tooth an nail and we still drift towards socialism (which I feel is far worse) I don't blame the Conservatives.

If not for conservatives, the US would already be in the same or worse position as Greece and the other EU countries going belly up from too much entitlement spending.

Any action from any group that helps get the US back on it's financial feet by opposing self proclaimed "progressive" spending is making America better. It's Democrats, Republicans and Independents against the "progressive" agenda, I hope it goes to real civil war, but a Balanced Budget Amendment will kill them off without firing a shot.

Ruin America? It's been ruined since the start. You can't expect a capitalist society to function well without there being a huge difference between wealthy and poor. Equality is important.

We Americans depend in ourselves, we don't beg, we have pride and we are proud to own a nice home, car, clothes and live well due to our work. Anybody who depends on the government to get money and food has no pride and no desire for anything and that's why a the majority of male Russians are alcoholics; the government has taken away their rights, self pride and esteem.

They want to make it better and they will as soon as most of the spendthrift liberals are gone. Conservatives know that you can't spend money you don't have and succeed, doing something that stupid and then blaming someone else is what liberals do.
