Actually, yes, they are. By their self accepted masters - the GOP and the churches.
Because they are the biggest group of people that consistently vote against their own interests, as they are instructed to. They are the people that inflict wounds on themselves, made possible by their religion.
And we need to help them liberate themselves from this self imposed slavery.
I only answer no because I do not think that it is Christians under attack, I feel that the extremists are the one under attack. With any group you will find radical extremists. Westboro Baptist Church being one of the top radical extremist groups. Sharing your religion or thoughts is one thing, but when you go to the extreme of shoving it in someones face you not only push that person or group away you only show your ignorance. I don't care if it's Christian, Muslim, Republican, Democrat, Gay pride, Atheism, or anything thing else, trying to force your views and beliefs onto someone else will only gain either the weak minded or alienate you.
Absolutely not ... what "they" consider an 'attack' are efforts to preclude them from forcing their 'values' and philosophy(ies) onto those who don't share them.
The Fundamentalist, who are a minority of Protestants, have a philosophy that's wrapped up in feelings of persecution. They do think that they are the ones under constant attack. I never hear such sentiments being expressed by mainstream Christians, to be honest.
Poor christians only want what's best for the US, for they live by a higher law, of the bible and want to help save everyone's soul by praying for them, preaching love and kindness and the golden rule........oh wait...sorry.....i have it all wrong....
The extremist christians are, and christianity as a whole is under scrutiny, but is a debate a debate or an argument? That's the question. See, I have debates, with actual facts and information. Arguments and attacks normally come from ignorant people, christians, atheists, muslims, Buddhists, you name it. Those ignorant people in those groups do indeed attack. However, to suggest that it is widespread is ludicrous.

Remember Witch Hunts?
Remember Lynching?
Remember Loyalty Oaths?
Remember Book Banning?
Remember 'Christian Education' in public schools?
Remember student 'attitude scores?'
All were ways Christians attacked non-Christians.
Being told to stay in their own lane, and out of everybody else's face.....Is not an "attack".
It's a COUNTER-ATTACK.

They're NOT in any way, shape, or form, being attacked. AT ALL.
