MSNBC's lefty host Chris Matthews is floating a conspiracy theory, and it's a doozy: he's wondering if some American businesses would refuse to part with cash so that the economy stays in the doldrums and Obama looks bad when he's up for re-election in 2012.
On his show "Hardball," Matthews spoke with Charles Mahtesian of political website Politico and Eugene Robinson from The Washington Post.
"You know, a great question, Charles, that wasn't on my list to ask but I'm going to ask you because you seem like a sophisticated guy of many parts. You think business can sit on those billions and trillions of dollars for two more years after they screw Obama this time? Are they going to keep sitting on their money so they don't invest and help the economy for two long years to get Mr. Excitement Mitt Romney elected president? Will they do that to the country?"

Im not spending money either along with tens of millions of Americans. We can not support the rest of the world. When a democrat becomes (P)resident the economy falls. Just look at HISTORY to see that fact.
Businesses have no idea of how much is available to invest in human resources and how much taxes and increased work loads created by regulation changes are going to effect them.
The prospect of higher taxation translates into the prospect of higher unemployment. The monies available for wages are diminished. Potential employers will eventually seek to reduce their expenses by investing their money where labor costs and taxes are lower.
Matthews is one of the reasons that MSNBC is on a downhill slide in ratings. People are beginning to realize that his elitist views and those of his MSNBC cohorts amount to just so much verbal diarrhea.
Obama is hurting Business so they started hoarding money to survive....
Obama has put so many unknowns out there that business are scared to invest,
IE: the cost of healthcare...and holding off on the Tax break vote
Obama appears to try and make it criminal to be wealthy, by drawing a line between of those who have...and have not.....he forgets who hires the lower and middle class for jobs...the wealthy..

That is what the Republicans want. Do you really think that all the Tea Party members are super rich? Of course not! They are the blind dependent poverty people that will support the GOP. Once back in power the GOP will put back out their delusional carrot on a string making these people think once again they too will get super rich because the GOP takes out all the programs and needs of the poor . So this fools these people into thinking now their money is being taxed less. But then comes the tax hikes...and all their hard earn money ends up in the GOP pockets. But blacks have a much harder time seeking good steady employment even when times are good. This country's whites out numbers blacks 8 to 1. So Who do you think are gonna get the jobs first if jobs become available? Whites, because conservatives are mostly white and will only higher whites. You know, sit on your money and don't invest in anything that will help this economy for the next two years. Then, that should finish Mr. Obama and we Republicans will be back in control and give you big business people the best taxes breaks ever and , we will get rid of all those new rules for Wall Street that Mr. Obama has set up and let you in invest all of America's Social Security funds any way you like to when we privatize it.
One business guy saks, " what if we lose all of the SS funds'?
The GOP laugh,and say, " Don't worry about it, we will raise taxes fairly high to cover all your bets on the middle class and the poor and blame it all on the former Obama"s administration . Hey they did it to Bush so we can screw them right back. Who cares if it's a lie? "
