if the cop is a racist they will find a reason.but dont believe all cops are racist.like all blacks are not criminals.that said if they are a racist they should have no place in the job.

    but sooooo many do
and the others won't tell on the racist

It depends on how racist the cop is... If they are really racist, then yes, to them someone who is black is automatically guilty. Of course the police report will be filled out in such a way to show just how guilty said person is and how the officer acted accordingly.

Until everyone can get past looking at the color of a person as judging him as a person, we will have this problem. Just look on this sight. People say, the president is not a citizen, which is bull shit. One person asked me today ,How do we know he graduated from Harvard? Never has a President been condemed by so many unrightfully. I say 3 different post that said "we all know he can't read" This is just hate, ignorance, racism and bigority. I swear some of these creeps want to bring out their white sheets and burn crosses. Racism is everywhere, unfortunately even on police forces. It is such a real shame we can't look at a person and just see a man or a woman, get to know their heart and judge from there.

That is a very slanted question, so of course the answer is yes.

However, I am a criminal justice major myself, and I do not think the fact that I am white will someday make me ineffective at unbiased law enforcement.

what about once you get into law enforcement .......
    You see wrong.....
Are you going to put your lively hood and your job and possibly your life on the line to stand up for RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUSTICE ?

I have an honest to god desire to want to help my fellow man. I could have studied anything in school. I studied justice because I do not want to peruse law and I want to safeguard my community.

I am gonna peruse federal work, but I assure you I will never forget the lesson taught to me as a freshman to temper justice with reason.

Come to Jacksonville, Florida, you might learn something you didn't know. The incident you are referring to, has another side of the story that no one listens to. Obama ran into a wall with his remarks, and will rue the day before it is over with.

    "Police union condemns Obama's comments"

President Obama's Wednesday night criticism of Cambridge, Mass., police has drawn a rebuke from the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP).

The criticism comes after Obama said Cambridge police officers acted "stupidly" when they arrested Henry Louis Gates, a friend of the president's, after he broke into his own home. Gates was arrested on disorderly conduct charges, which were then dropped. The president said it highlights ongoing problems with race relations in the U.S.

Jim Pasco, executive director of the FOP's legislative office, noted that before Obama made the remarks, the president acknowledged that he was only vaguely familiar with what happened.

"That being the case, it's unfortunate that he chose to say anything," Pasco said. "He wasn't there, and he doesn't know what happened."

Pasco said it appears that Gates was the "provocateur" because he called Officer James Crowley a racist instead of producing identification as requested.

Pasco said it appears that Gates was the "provocateur" because he called Officer James Crowley a racist instead of producing identification as requested.

On Thursday, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs sought to walk back the president's comments.

"Let me be clear. He was not calling the officer stupid, OK?" Gibbs told reporters on Air Force One. "He was denoting that ... at a certain point the situation got far out of hand, and I think all sides understand that."

So what did the President say? "But so far, so good. They're reporting -- the police are doing what they should. There's a call, they go investigate what happens. My understanding is at that point Professor Gates is already in his house. The police officer comes in, I'm sure there's some exchange of words, but my understanding is, is that Professor Gates then shows his ID to show that this is his house. And at that point, he gets arrested for disorderly conduct -- charges which are later dropped."

"is that Professor Gates then shows his ID to show that this is his house. And at that point, he gets arrested for disorderly conduct -- charges which are later dropped."

SAY what! The police report did not say that, also the officer was not alone. Stuff like this is why all cops, other than traffic cops, travel in pairs, or call for back up. When they check on a suspected breakin, they always have backup. I know, because I have a grand son that is a police officer.
