But here in Europe, we might not always be informed properly about all the backgrounds of the many intrigues around such campaigns; after all we have also our proper concerns here in Europe. We have been voting last Sunday, for instance, regarding severe reductions of the indemnifications of our health insurances, tax reduction on old age capitals if used to buy an own house (but such funds are, in most cases, insufficient anyway) and other, regional initiatives, which are against our social concepts - luckily all refused by the people. Maybe that you are following the news in Europe and that you would have rather voted for N. Sarkozy than for F. Hollande and supported the hard line of A. Merkel regarding Greece and Spain. Or would you agree with D. Cameron having declared that he would welcome tax evaders from France in the U.K.? It is sad enough that the value of politicians depends on how much money they can raise for their campaigns, and that their initiatives and speeches are distorted by ennemies or agressive publicity. If the richer ones win, I am afraid that only the privileged minorities will benefit.

I am born and raised in the United States. I was educated in the United States. I learned about REAL HISTORY in the United States.

I have NEVER let a day go by that I didn't set out to learn about at least one new thing about the world we live in. A few years ago I got intersted in the REAL HISTORY of WWII and what brought Germany back from the major depression after WWI. Then, as now in the US, most of their country's citizens were in dire financial straights. They turned to their churches and to their government. Their government FAILED and took them deeper into dispair. Then a "shining star" of nationalism began to rise -- HITLER. He took the country from dispair to a major power within 5 years. To do so he took advantage of and created an alliance with the industrialist/corporatist, with his political party and with the Roman Catholic Church. The three headed hydra of FASCISM.

Today we see the same exact thing happening in the Republican/Tea Party + the industrialist/corporatists + the Radical Rabid Religious Right. The same exact attempt to create a country with only one party that can rule rough shod over any other POV's of any other group or combination of groups.
