Not all religions are founded in the definition of God, many are found in the pursuit of God. Hinduism and Buddhism preach that we do not specifically know God's will and that the best way to pursue it is to meditate, live a productive life, care for others and contemplate your subservience to a higher power. Even Christians are taught not to presume the Word of God and rather to take their lives as "signs".
That "pursuit" of God is what drives the human existence to dream and wonder, and is a fundamentally good thing for us. To dismiss such perplex questions as our place in the Universe, questions of moral right and wrong, and the relationships people hold with each other as simply "tribal and myth[ical]" is ignorant.
Are all religions just tribal and myth in nature?

Although I also believe that all religions are true; and alll gods are real.
World religions like Christianity, Islam or Buddhism are not tribal in nature. Neither are non-missionary state religions, such as the Ancient Roman or Egyptian religions. Judaism started out as a tribal religion (Abraham was a nomadic chieftain) but turned into a state religion and later into a non-missionary world religion.
Is Islam taxed in the Middle East? Are Hindus taxed in India? Are Atheists taxed anywhere.
How about Catholicism in Italy?
The WORLD is a very large place.
Please remember, before the IRS, before the founding of our country, churches existed in what would become the United States - and no one was "wise" enough to tax them. No one was that ignorant of the consequences of, what in effect, would be at least political suicide.
As mankind's knowledge base increases, the less of fables and myths is needed.
Such as your father might make to keep you in line as a child "....., or else!"
Anyone who claims they "know" how things are, is simply involved in self-hypnosis. Religions require faith. If you are a Darwinist, you need to dig deep to find where Darwin admitted that his theory couldn't explain the human eye, and thus his entire theory should be put in question.
Even after all these years, evolution is still just another theory. Creationism is also a theory, except if you are not a gambler and base your life on faith.
A simple example: If you are a gambler and have no faith in God, then when you die, the only thing that will happen is that you die. I will then be in the same position as you. As a person of faith, I believe that there is a "beyond" and that we are all sinners. I believe that at the end of my life, we will be judged by Grace. In that case, you would be eternally confined to a lake of fire while I went on to what my essence (soul) was directed to do.
As a gambler, 50% odds, pure chance, is not a smart bet. You can't "hedge" your bet here, can't buy insurance. You either open your heart and have faith, or you don't - with consequences as stated.
I have no fear of hell because it doesn’t exist. It would be insane of me to pretend I did.
you rascal you." Religions require more than faith, most require the belief that one can live forever.. it is the belief in immortality. Perhaps IT placing faith in someone or something that can assist with being immortal.
