How does the portrayal of Arabs affect the way we think about and treat Arabs?
It’s not often that Americans see the real side, where most Arabs lead ordinary lives. The media is often the strongest force in shaping one’s understanding of a people or culture. It helps create an image of a culture, so that when we see movies with an Arab villain, it leads us to think that all Arabs are like that. Teachers are also influenced by the way Arabs are shown in the media, which in turn influences how they teach American youth about Arab people, culture, and history.
Between September 11, 2001 and March 27, 2002, over 600 people were violently assaulted, 45 of them at school, because they were Arab or perceived as Arab. Hundreds of Arabs, and those perceived as Arab, have been discriminated against at their work. (The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee)
I think to a large extent with all peoples they play on perceived stereotypes and its fed by current events ie: Arabs and terror and/or Islam and Arabs and terror.
This as been done and is still done with people: Jews, Blacks, Chinese, Indian etc.
For example if I said what comes into your mind when you think of an American, Italian person - immediately one would think of a stereotype of that person and the same with a nation.

Hollywood, like many American mainstream institutions, has the ability to socially condition a great deal of the populous and therefore our society. The ramifications are overwhelmingly obvious. Our media has a very long history of portraying African American, Native Americans, 'Arabs and at times Asians in a very negative way and here in America there is no conscience or acknowledgement regarding its inherent bigotry. People are going to deny it because they aren't racist and they are looking at this from a personal assesment and defining the nation how you view the world and other people.
I'm so glad that the anti-Arab/muslim bigotry hasn't been translated into society and most people are thinking and decent. I've just had a look at the FBI's statistics on Hate Crimes:

This whole anti-arab thing was meant to condition the population of the West into not caring if barbarians (zionists) massacre the Arabs. To see proof of this, all you have to do is look towards Palestine. Quran calls those rebels "apes and pigs", not the Children of Israel. You may go check the verse to see that i am not lying. Nowhere in the Quran are the Children of Israel are disrespected, instead, they are honored.
Today, those historical "jews" may be either the zionists or Ashkenazim jews. This i am not sure about, i would go for them being zionists.
The rest of us do not make a distinction between the groups of Jews that you mention. All Hebrews/Jews are descendants of Abraham, Izak and Jacob and none is the descended from apes or pigs.
Your definition of Zionism could also be a lot different than that of other groups of people - myself included. To us Zionism/Zionists are supporters of the state of Israel - where ever the Jewish people come from throughout the earth.
We may not make such a distinction but God certainly did. Even in the Old testament (if i am not mistaken) did not God destroy the nation of Israel and left only Judea? He destroyed Israel because the people there strayed away from the covenant and disrespected the rabbis. There were many sects of Judaism during the diaspora, God did not like one of them, the original "jews" and called them apes and pigs because of their actions. If Islam was to have a sect like the original "jews", it would be Al-Qaeda or the Taliban which blows up mosques.
That is my definition of zionism too. The zionists want a state of israel, i have no problem with that since God mention in Islam that israel will become a nation once again for the jews, my problem lies with the fact that these zionists will then go around demolishing Palestinian homes, killing whole families, murdering women and children, destroying property and farm fields, all because they think they have some divine right to the land.

Research shows that these tribes settled in places that are now Iran, Afghanistan/Pakistan, Arabian peninsula, and a bit of Africa. These are the Children to whom the land was promised., not the fake zionists today who have not a single drop of blood of the Lost Tribes. The Messiah will indeed protect the Holy Land, but the Holy Land does not belong to those who currently inhabit it. They are wrongfully occupying a land that was never promised to them. You and I of course differ on the Nation of Israel being legitimate. G_d Himself has restored them to the land in a most miraculous way.I know also that G_d has great plans for all of the children of Abraham Arabs and Jews alike. I hate what is happening now so many are needlessly suffering. I do not have any answers to the present war between Jews and Arabs but I know that our Creator does. Go with God MOJ.
I understand what you are saying, but i just want to know who exactly the Twelve tribes are. You never know, maybe it is the Palestinians who are one of the tribes, maybe it is the Swiss.
