AP Misleads, Claims Cheney Received Special Treatment Another in the Series of the Lying Left Lamestream Media
Like
Jerry Seinfeld, the Associated Press did a masterful job of making a
story out of nothing this weekend after news broke that former Vice
President Dick Cheney was the recipient of a heart transplant.
In fact, APs first paragraph is
one of those masterful bits of psychological manipulation along the
lines of the old rhetorical trick that goes: "when did you stop beating
your wife?"
With
its first paragraph the AP cast doubt on the propriety of Cheney
getting a heart transplant, raised the specter of Cheney getting
"special treatment" (even while denying he did) and played the age card
to boot pointing out that many "thousands of younger people" are still
waiting while Cheney is now walking around with a new heart.
The nerve of that guy.
Of
course, the whole paragraph is geared to cause doubt about the
propriety of Cheney getting his transplant even while hiding under
plausible deniability that this was its purpose.
Here is that first paragraph:
Doctors say it is unlikely that former Vice President Dick Cheney got
special treatment when he was given a new heart at age 71 that
thousands of younger people also were in line to receive.
Think
about this. If doctors say it is "unlikely" Cheney got "special
treatment," then what the heck is this story here for? Of course, what
the AP did here is classic. They put the idea that Cheney did get
special treatment in reader's minds even while saying he didn't.

+16Dick Cheney is fully aware that life itself is a gift,...and has a far more stronger will to keep living,....than do most of his younger opponents.
A desire to live is not a crime,....only a blessing!

Go get your eyes checked immediately.
Cheney is a old dried up player in yesterdays games.
In the end Americans and Israel will CRUSH the CHILD RAPIST muslim terrorist nothing you or little obummer can do to stop it from happening
I don't think he recieved special treatment because he is the former VP or because he is a Republican but he is also a RICH old bastard and that can get anyone special treatment it is just that we don't hear about them because they are not named Dick Cheney.
I have inoperable advanced heart disease and am currently doing well enough not to be elegible for a transplant but 5 years ago i was airlifted to Vanderbuilt to be placed on that list or wait to die, thankfully a team of 15 doctors tried something and a week later i was released to return home after a few days in a medically induced coma with a tube leading into my heart disolving a huge blood clot in one of the chambers but the list is not as "need" based as we are led to believe and special treatment is given if you can pay f...

My week in the Hospital cost $347,000.00 average cost of a transplant $150,000.00, chance of recieving a heart in time to save my life.... lets say it was 347 grand well spent.
You want some facts to play with ?
Who Is Eligible for a Heart Transplant?:
The specialists at the heart transplant center will assess whether a patient is eligible for a transplant. Specialists often include a:
•Cardiologist (a doctor who specializes in diagnosing and treating heart problems)
•Cardiovascular surgeon (a doctor who does the transplant surgery)
•Transplant coordinator (a person who arranges aspects of the surgery, such as transportation of the donor heart)
•Social worker
•Dietitian
•Psychiatrist
In general, patients selected for heart transplants have severe end-stage heart failure, but are healthy enough to have the transplant. Heart failure is considered “end stage” when all possible treatments—such as medicines, implanted devices, and surgery—have failed.
Certain conditions and factors make it less likely that a heart transplant will work well. Examples include:
•Advanced age. There is no widely accepted upper age limit for a heart transplant. However, most transplant surgeries are done on patients younger than 70 years old.
•Poor blood circulation throughout the body, including the brain.

Nobody has said how long it took for Cheney to get on the list. And If you are needing a heart and you are not yet on the list, maybe you need to be yelling at your Dr.
And I am glad that YOU have set yourself UP as the expert authority on who lives and who dies..
Pay attention here people.. He makes his decision based on PERSONAL political considerations that are in accordance with his likes and dislikes..
Do you THINK that a Health Care Plan run by Left WIngers will do any better?????
