Interesting that you have the Bald Eagle which, of course, is symbolic of our nation. The bald eagle, however, is now off the endangered species list. If it weren't for government regulations there would be no real bald eagles, only emblems and photos. Where do conservatives fall in regards to environmental issues? Just curious.

See, I said I was curious and you have to be somewhat of a smart aleck in your response. I used the analogy because if it were up to some, there wouldn't be any bald eagles in real life. Whether or not there is global warming, certainly things need to be done to protect the oceans, rivers, and of course the atmosphere. Sometimes even the smallest things can have an impact on the environment eventually. So I am talking about the environment in general, which certainly covers melting of the ice caps, wildlife conservation, recycling and other environmental issues. I know as a rule Republicans are against any regulations that hinder them from making higher profits or having to do things in a responsible manner that is mandated by the government. What I don't know is where conservatives fall in this category.

As I said...all over the place...we are not clones programmed to think alike on all issues! We are not robots.
We are all able to think for ourselves whatever side of the question we happen to fall on. You must be a liberal as that seems to offend you! Don't try to label us and put us in a box of your choice!
We have freedom of choice in all things and that's the way it should be

Republicans/Conservatives are against big government, and profit has nothing to do with it...oh disingenuous one!

If you indeed did not know that Conservatives are, first and foremost,
thinking individuals and not simply collateral of a political pecking order,
you are owed an apology........ If not, I already stated my views!

What did I assume? I really was just asking a question. I have heard Rush being fairly jerky about environmental regulations and seems to feel that anything should be able to be killed in it stands in the way of business. I hoped that wasn't the stance of "normal" conservatives (because imho Sarah Palin sounds somewhat crazy) and I was curious. That actually was it.

I consider most people "normal" whether I agree with their opinions or not! Civility and respect is what is missing in today's society!

I don't label people crazy for their opinions, and that includes Palin and Rush who are always being maligned by liberals with an agenda! Much of what they say has value whether you agree or not!

I think most liberal opinions are totally unsound, but I don't call liberals abnormal or crazy! Why would I? That's character assassination..is it not? I prefer to attack deluded opinions and there are plenty of them to go around!

I "loudly" shushed a group at Polo the other night because they were talking through, and not focused on, the National Anthem...(not like me to be aggressive or rude in social settings, but I was really, quite offended and it popped out).

Two of them approached our group as it ended. I was on guard and regretted my spontaneity and was ready to apologize for my rudeness!

They apologized profusely, whew, and said they were unaware that it was being sung, assured me it was not deliberate and thanked me for my "shush"!
I'd made an assumption about these people that was not correct and for that I apologize! Things are not always as they seem...learned my lesson!

LOL, yes I did! Honest...After my huge faux pas are you getting as xtra antsy as I am :-)...I read everything twice and stand on my head and read it backwards and forwards until it passes muster!
Then I go back and delete it :-)
That will pass I'm sure, but not any time soon!
